Divides opinion Benny, doesn't he?
Personally I'm not too taken with him, no doubt he's a very talented player but I don't think he's been great for us. If you watch him closely he gets caught out of position a lot, it happened in the first half yesterday and Benayoun had to scarper back to cover for him. He also misplaces a lot of long passes when there is often a far easier ball on for him. I also think he has the air of a "Big Time Charlie" about him, like he knows he's a bit too good for this league.
I wouldn't be too gutted if Spurs called him back, just as long as we have more than Traore as cover.Last edited by Tarbie; 02-01-2014, 03:13 PM.

P.S Traore's crosses v Stoke for Helguson and v City for Mackie says it all, the boy can cross!

Anyone seen some of his stats this season? The blokes a machine. Just because he doesn't run around like a headless chicken doesn't mean he isn't doing a great job.
Some people must be mad if they think we're better off with Traore and Hill as cover. Traore has dined out off that one cross at Stoke for the best part of 2 years. In rality he is a very very average LB and an alright Winger.
Just seen this stat from the Donny game too...

Traore has pace but no confidence and can make an easy sideway pass look like he's gonna break a leg. Aweful at positioning and very injuryprone to say the least. To read that anyone think we are better off without BAE??? Incredible! The guy is pure class, got the pace and could easily start for more than half the PL teams. So what if he's a bit cocky..he's a baller and that's his style. Acted the same way in spurs.

Toare does cause us problems. He gave away a needless free kick just outside the 18 yard box near the end of the game. BAE would be a big loss as he is calm on the ball and this is an advantage for the players around him. I rather he plays than the reckless Toare at left back as this would unsettle the team.
