A great point he's all about the tricks with next to no end product. Had a very similar chance to that which O'Neill had against Leicester cut back to him running on to it easier to hit target then to miss it and he put it wide
what does nico bring to the team, well hamburgers, sausages, crisps, lard etc . i think arry has told him to stop doing it but old nico just keeps smuggling in those fatty products! he is a law unto himself really!
LONDON CALLING TO THE ZOMBIES OF DEATH.... ALSO KNOW AS BRENTFORD FANS
Think you are being harsh on him, some good passes today. Hit a good shot on target which Austin accidentally tipped wide. We always seem to slate the talented players. Look at the stick Hoilett gets but was actually looking really lively and it was him going off that resulted in our dip in performance first half. But the workhorses seem to get away with just plodding about unproductively. What does O'Neil bring for instance? And if you were looking for scapegoats today, Benayoun was the worst player on the pitch by miles and scarcely looked the same player we remember from a few years ago.
Kranjcar is a massive reason why we are playing so badly at the moment. His presence completely unbalances the team. Redknapp is trying to get him to be his 'Merson' when he came up with Pompey or Warnock's 'Tarabat' when we last went up. He is effectively playing the number 10 role. He has scored 1 goal this season and barley set up any goals. What does he do to contribute? When he gets the ball he takes so many touches and completely slows the play down. When he was pushed wide he was even more ineffective. He does not look fit and makes no effort to track back. When he is out wide he does not stay wide and that's why he narrows the pitch down and a reason why Austin gets such poor service. Not good enough to be in the side at the moment until he starts contributing.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.
I think he's been decent. Doesn't give the ball away and his passing has been on point. Just been disappointed with his shooting but if he'd been a bit more lucky he would have got more goals than what he has had already.

O'Neil was, as ever, terrible, but he was better after he needed treatment in the second half. Miles better. Did the physio give him some Charlie? Benayoun was awful. Kransjar's far from being our worst player, but he has been far, far from being good too often this season. Pace plus industry plus tackling is what's needed in the midfield in this division. That and the vital ability to carry the ball at speed.
He's slow and that really frustrates me when we are trying to build attacks but what really amazes me is for all his skill, he barely ever gets a shot on target.
