Losing my religion # 2

Was word for word how I feel. I have also had a season ticket the past 3 or 4 season and had one for a few years 10 years plus ago. Altogether I've been going since about 1984 pretty frequently.
Tomorrow night will be my first league match this season. Having watched the dross against Accrington I decided I would leave it for a bit and play instead.
I'm fully expecting a bad performance and dull atmosphere tomorrow but am trying to be positive and saying we will win........

Well, being an old git (feel like Uncle Albert off Only Fools and Horses lol) I go back to the early 60's and was lucky enough to see the 67 side, the 76 side, and so on.
Now, everyone will tell you how good the 75-6 side was and how the 76-7 side were terrific in Europe. But the next two years were sooooo bad, MUCH worse than we are seeing now, the 78-9 relegation side was COMPLETE GARBAGE, and only a couple of years after we were arguably the best side in the country.
So I won't be losing my religion. The only thing that will stop me from going to Loftus Road is if I get priced out, which I expect to happen should we get promoted. You have to take the bad times in order to really enjoy the good times. And no matter what you may think, these times are not THAT bad you know.
But I totally understand what the Original Poster was getting at.

Echoed my feelings exactly, and sure you're not alone in those sentiments. Brilliant first post, shame it had to be your feelings how our club is run, and how you feel as a fan to post.Last edited by QPRbob; 15-09-2009, 01:53 AM.Opinions are like A******s, everyone has one, but nobody wants to see the other guy's.

It's nice to see so many people agreeing with me. I did write something similar on a different board last season, but was shot to pieces by many.
We've witnessed much worse on the pitch than what we're seeng at present, but that's not the be all and end all of following QPR. You can't enjoy something if you don't feel part of it.
I'll be there tonight, first game of the season, and I'll be hoping to come away happy, not miserable. Win, lose or draw I just want to see signs that everyone is pulling in the right direction, and we're not a broken club, divided and dejected at every level.Last edited by irememberlesley; 15-09-2009, 10:33 AM.
