A coach in Wilkins capacity is more about what goes on the training field. Take away Wilkins smashing nicey personality on TV and what you have is a real football man I find it plausible that he is a Premier league coach in standard.
you could be right. some coachs make terrible manangers-steve clarke is ment to be top notch but got the sack at west brom. maybe a case of the new found owners from abroad looking for others to join them-plenty od talent from these shores imo. how no-one takes a punt on hoddle amazes me.

Changed to much for me given the situation they are in. From Jol to Rene+Curbs now Wilkins massive overhaul for team that prob need stability more then anything

Seems a common thing with these new,foreign,non-football background owners.

Wilkins was the worst manager we have had that I can remember. And I'm OLD!
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

                      Some stats

Neil Warnock 39.2% wins from 84 games

Ray Harford 12.2% wins from 41 games

Ray Wilkins 38.8% wins from 80 games

Wilkins has a higher win percentage than most ex Rangers managers, but everyone just remembers the relegation.I was surprised by the stats.

Why has Wilkins getting us relegated been erased from every bio I've ever read about the man? Also it never gets mentioned on TV, even when our games were being televised last season and nailed on to go down and Wilkins was in the studio commenting on the game. Nobody ever said, "so Ray, you know what it's like to take QPR down…"
                        It's been glossed over.

Why has nobody asked Mark Lawrenson how it feels to take it up the bottle?.

It was actually his attitude that I took issue with.

Also, the stats really need to be for points gained rather than just wins, although it is hard to see Harford overtaking Wilkins once you include the draws! But it might reduce the obvious gap.

                                31 wins,13 draws and 36 losses.

Not sure what that works out at points per game, but almost 50% losses is what cost us.

                                Harford's was 5 wins lol.
