They both seem to have some fans here. Unbelievable. People remember only those 2-3 lucky run from Diakite and that great goal against Arsenal. The rest of the time he was like a headless chicken on ice.

So, it's 2-3 "lucky" runs and a great goal.....blimey, talk about exagerating to prove a point. He was far better than that and you know it.
However, one thing we can agree on is that they were premiership games.......we now a league lower and yet now he's not good enough????

A good few people at the club have been quoted as saying that Diakite isn't the full shilling. Onouha was laughing his a*se of in 1 interview that I heard at what a clown the bloke is, I think he quote was "Samba is hillarious, he doesn't mean to be but he is!"

Personally from what I've seen I wouldn't be surprised if the rumours are true, and I don't blame Harry for leaving him out!

Oh come on mate 99% of footballers have low intellect lets be honest! I'm more concerned with what he does with a ball & I saw enough of him live to know the guy can play. As I said in an earlier post his tackles needed a lot of work but apart from that he was good. Carried the ball well, could pass, could score & a lot more robust than Carroll. I just think if he's playing in the ressies & training well as HR has said he is he deserves a shot IMO. The midfield for me are just not doing it. We cannot break teams down.

I think a lot of footballers probably do have a low intellect but have good footballing brains (Wayne Rooney & David Beckham are good examples). Diakite is a slightly different proposition, runs about like a headless chicken, throws himself into challenges all over the gaff with little consideration to the consequences!

I did acknowledge his tackles needed working on. It's been over a year in this country now isn't that what coaches are for? Headless chicken I don't quite agree with. I thought he was one player who could actually retain the ball & shoot / pass. MBia was a headless chicken. All about opinions I guess.

say what you want about him being a touch nuts etc but he has the capability of putting the other team on the back foot unlike our centre midfielders at present. we should have enough within our SQUAD to press the game instead of fc uking around with the ball. we pay his wages and he can do a job...get him on.
