  • Diakite

Would much prefer him with his bite over Carroll, O'Neill & Henry.

Before anyone says but he fouls a lot. So does Barton & is continually getting booked. Not a dig as I think he's been class but true.

The players HR brought in have worked to an extent & now it's gone stale. Other teams know we're not that special & it's clear we need to change the ingredients. Diakite for me was a good footballer. Slightly nuts yes but I'd like to think over time in England he's learned. That's what training every day is for right? He's an employee of QPR getting a fortune. Give him a run out.

Never understood why he hasn't been utilised before. Appreciate he has had issues of some sort and probably not for us to speculate as to what they are, but if he is training with the squad, then he will be a vast improvement on certain people.

Harry is a very stubborn man & set in his footballing ways. I get the impression when you're out you're out.

totally agree. Unfortunately redknapp doesn't like him and still seems to blame him for liverpool debacle. Surely we need to change it up a bit though? Type of player who we should be coaching given his age and inexperiance at top flight level. Look back at some of games he played in the premiership....he's streets ahead of anything we have. Why can't he get back to that level? What will redknapp's answer be? Sign a "right sort" player at 30 odd......who can pass it sideways...tick....you're in.

Rarely gave the ball away. Box to box, can score, tackling was bad granted but go back to my point about training & for me you have a very good player. I actually really enjoyed watching him I liked his style.

I know he didn't have a good game in the cup against Swindon (neitrher did most of the others), but surely he deserves a chance.

Agree 100%, he can carry the ball unlike the others.
                Kept the faith!

When was the last time he had a good game for us? If its the Diakite we had for them 9 loan games then he should have been selected before now. If he is showing in training the same form for them 13 games with us after we signed him on a permanent then i dont blame Harry no picking him. He was sh1t. Just as sh1t as Mbia. Does the bloke even train with the first team anymore? seen plenty of training pics and i have never noticed him there before...

When on loan he was better than all our midfield players. He was rubbish when signed permanently, I agree.....but can you say hand on heart that is worse than Henry, Jenas and Carroll?

I agree that Hoilett has been poor and O'Neill hasnt done much since his debut game but i wouldnt put any faith in Diakite. If the bloke was playing well in training then i am sure he would have been picked by now. Thats if he even trains with us anymore because i thought i read somewhere that he was having problems outside of football back home. Might as well play Hogan if you want to continue scraping the bottom of the barrel :-)

Comparing Ephraim with Diakite shows me how little knowledge you've actually got. I thought you were a bit more clued up than that.

Harry likes his 'favourites' is that not clear to see?

My point was jimBob that you cant jump on the Diakite bandwagon because you dont know if he is the player we had playing well nearly 2 years ago. He has been useless since then in the rare times he has managed to get himself selected. Unless you think that Diakite has been playing well in training and the management team are ignoring him because they just dont like him? In which case i would suggest you are grasping at straws. We just dont know. Diakite - - - 22 Appearances 1 goal and how many red cards? yes he had them great driving runs for the first few games but then so did Cisse up until the point he couldnt be bothered anymore. More of a mental thing with Diakite i heard (as in he is mental)

While this is true, it's frustrating to not get a chance to see him play again. He's looked OK in the couple of EDS games I've seen him in tbf.
