Most good managers are given responsiblity for signings and scouting, and youth set-up... Gary Johnson is far from unique in expecting to have the big say on that. Within a set budget, of course.

There are two reasons that we can't attract a top, proven manager to QPR... despite our location, history and relative wealth.

Those reasons are FB and GP, and the way they run the show.
Yep you will not get an argument from me on that one.

Far to many midfielders and what ever brainbox at the club thought it was a great idea to spend 3.5 million on another midfielder had to be insane.

Your right GP has to shoulder some of the blame as Sporting Director, the thing that I cant understand is why this group of players are playing so poorly, and for me thats the manager........who the board appointed.

Alan Mullary would do better than the chuckle brothers
Gerry Francis the greatest all round player to come from these shores:super_man:

        Fair enough mate.

We didn't spend £3.5m on Faurlin, but that's for another day!

I'm just sick and tired of Paladini, Russell and Briatore hiring and firing people for failing... when they are the biggest failures of all.

Maybe when the crowds dip below 10,000, they can just blame/sack someone else?

It's becoming a very bad joke now, and I get the feeling from talking to people (not just online) that many more QPR fans are growing very weary of it all with every passing week.
It's even gone past anger now... it's apathy. And that's worse.

what do you expect from a pr.ick who knows nothing what so ever about football matters and has a massive big head and ego.

Your 100% I dont for one minute think we paid 3.5 million for Faurlin but if the club are happy to release that figure then I'll ramm it back down there throats when wondering what the hell we were doing.

The lunatic policy of flogging Blackstock then trying to replace him on the cheap.....genius.

I dont think it's all down to Gianni most people know I have alot of time for him.

But you are 100% correct that he should shoulder part of the blame for the poor start as should Gorman and co.

In terms of our prices I think given the current economical crisis that club should of looked into a the overall price policy for match day at HQ.

For the big games it's fine to charge £30 but for Peterborough United at home no chance.

Our dire league form has also hardly helped matters

Magilton and Gorman do need to be given time but Flavio is hardly a patient man and if form continues as it is then he will be fired it's that simple.

I'm sure he's a lovely little fella, and quite likeable, I really wouldn't know.

I'm sure Gerry Francis, Alan Curbishley or Steve Coppell are grumpy sods and not nearly as much fun to be around, or helpful to old ladies crossing the road.
They possibly sneak out at night with bricks and pillow cases, round up kittens, and drown them in various canals around Foggy Old London Town.

But I know who's better qualified, and who I'd rather have as the Sporting Director of Queens Park Rangers Football Club.
And I also know who's escaped the trap door, while in the mean time 7 different managers have been replaced under his watch.

It seems widely accepted that the owners are to blame for appointing 7 "failing" managers, and ditching them.... but not for appointing (and sticking with) a failing, unqualified Sporting Director??!
It's all very odd, when you look at it like that, isn't it?

Still, he's a lovely little chap.
