I think your analysis is simplistic rather than looking at "the detail" and I think it proves my point - that a lack of self-belief can be interpreted wrongly as a lack of interest or commitment

No - you can tell a huge amount through body language. Certainly enough not to be confused. How management and other players react to the player, how the running style alters and moves dependent on mindset. Vine displayed all the characteristics of someone who couldn't be bothered rather than a player lacking confidence or belief.

Because although we have quite a few very decent individual players... we have an unbalanced, rag-tag mess of a squad, that has been assembled by amateurs over the course of half a dozen different team managers.
All appointed by the same muppets, with no Plan A... never mind Plan B.

Just look at the thread about who our back four should be as an example.
Square pegs, round holes, and loan players all over the place.... playing in front of 11,000 people - and dropping.

Theres been some really good points been made on this thread, id love to hear what JM or GP would say after reading them.
Basically the problems we have are down to the fact that the board/owners want too much say in team matters, and therefore no decent manager in his own right wants anything to do with us. We have the best squad of players since the prem days but absolutly no organisation or tactics on the pitch. My big worry is players like Connolly and Buszacky get fed up with the managerial merry go round and leave the club. A manager with a bit of know how, like Johnson at Bristol City would get us promoted no problem. Appointing JM was a mistake, we all knew it but brainbox Paladini didnt unfortunatly. How the hell Flav hasnt sacked him is beyond belief.

No one is doubting the quality of the side or how much money has gone into it, I think people know that there is bad karma at the club and the squad for some reason is not performing at all.

For a club that is meant to have the best midfield in the league it is no where near good enough on performances and apparently Jim has lost the dressing room.

Also, everyone knows that you can never have confidence in QPR as you never know what they are going to do next!

Pete, I'm staggered you're now trying to manage expectations down. You've been the one "guaranteeing the play-offs" and posting threads such as "how will you celebrate promotion" etc.

Oh, whats that smell? Coffee maybe?

What you and some others forget, is that first and foremost I support QPR.

Yes, I've been positive before and if we beat Palace, I'll probably be the same mood again.

Lets be honest, nothing on Saturday suggested to me a turn around in fortunes and for the first time in a long time, I don't expect us to win tomorrow. Body language to me is all wrong and I have to say Jim Magilton did not rally the troops in the second half on Saturday, and thats playing on my mind too.

well, if you have archive of football matches.

you can see me run on the pitch QPR V Palace FA Cup quarter final and back in 1994?? home game against Liverpool (day of Marsh rumour), I am outside on Sky sports with greased up hair and looking like a gypo.

As for you, I didn't know you either and to be honest Scott, i don't even know you now, and haven't a clue if you go to games or not.

"We've not sold out best players despite interest from other clubs "

well we sold our best striker and replaced him with the gerkin

we sold our best left back and replaced him with nothing

                            I'd rather Borrowdale to Delaney

some great posts on this thread.

the team is seriously lacking in cohesion and desire. magilton is changing the team from game to game and as a result the team just dont perform together.

we cannot keep making these loan signings. they help to a degree, but too many can unsettle the squad.

time after tim we all say these things, and the board fail to respond.

                                Really??

You think he's a better defender than Delaney?

                                ok.
