  • A different take on yesterday

A relatively poor perfomance yesterday, however, there were some glimpses of exceptional quality on show at times. The new Argentinian did show some very good touches to go with the howlers so lets not get on his back too early before his Loftus Road career is properly underway.

I went through the BBC stats for ALL Championship games yesterday and found out the following:

Which team had the most chances on goal ? QPR
Which team had the most shots on target ? QPR

The stats are reproduced below and shows the on target/total shots on & off targets.
Not quite sure what to make of the stats, however, did notice that our players tend to be snatching at shots and getting under the ball.

Maybe there is added pressure at home, I don't know.

My only criticism of the manager is the substitution of Tarabat. Yes he is greedy but the guy can change a game.

    QPR 9/19
    West Brom 8/16
    Derby 6/8
    Boro 7/9
    Preston 10/15
    Coventry 7/15
    Palace 5/11
    Leicester 5/10
    Reading 5/8
    Sheff Wed 5/10
    Watford 5/12

    Peterborough 7/14
    Plymouth 2/5
    Sheff Utd 4/14
    Ipswich 9/10
    Swansea 6/7
    Bristol City 7/12
    S****horpe 5/6
    Blackpool 3/8
    Doncaster 5/9
    Forest 6/11
    Barnsley 3/6

Problem is that those 9 shots, we did not make the PeterBoro keeper pull off a great save, I could have been in goal yesterday and the score would still, have been 1-1.

Interesting stats Conners.......makes you wonder where we would be in the table if we had a goal scorer in the squad!

                        Tarbie

The good thing as that we are creating quite a lot of chances. Personally think we are in need of a couple of strikers still. Don't think Vine yet looks like he is going to score. I saw on qprdot.org that someone was suggesting we would have won had Agyemang been playing. Don't think so somehow.

I still remain positive that we are building a good team, that is quite clearly not gelling as yet and is lacking confidence in front of goal.

Despite our disapoointing start we are not too far adrift just yet to play a part in play off proceedings. Just hoping that things click into place sooner rather than later.

Am I the only person who thought the movement for our goal was outstanding?

Those stats back up what every fan has been saying though, yes we play some good football and we have some very skillful players but we can have 100 shots on goal our strikers are poor and we don't score enough!
