  • December v January Fixtures

December always looked hard on paper and it has proven that way. January looks a little bit more favourable and we should be looking to take between 11 & 13 points starting with 3 points on Wednesday

The opposition have a mixed bag in my view Leicester have a tricky Jan and Feb but Derby and Burnley have what appear straight forward fixtures the next two months but we play both

Do not count on it. If we are not scoring a team only needs one to beat us.

Think we should and will pick up 3 points on weds then upgrade in market in time for Ipswich then turn a corner. Fingers crossed

I agree, I think we are well positioned, like Steve Ovett in his prime, just in touching distance of the leaders.
If we were leading, everyone would be saying we are up and we were Brazil, we wouldn't strenghthen and we would have collapsed come February like the England cricket team.
Alternately following on from our last two seasons we could quite comfortably be in the bottom 3 and AR would have left to take over at Spurs and we would have Claridge as are new manager, that would of caused this forum to erupt.
Instead we are in the chasing pack, at the tip of the peloton, our dip has cleansed us of any over confidence and hype, are feet are back on the ground, we need more work and a couple of players in, this league isn't a walk in the park as some thought.
Doncaster game will hopefully smooth matters but at least the board now know any extra cash over the window may lead us to promotion rather than if we were mid table which would defo mean the cheque bk being closed.

Dreading Doncaster. They have beaten us already and are 2nd from bottom of the form table. Nothing will change between now and Wednesday.

We won't score and they will, the ball will find the back of our net off the back of one of their heads.
