  • Was Colin "forced" to sign Barton, SWP and Traore?

Does he mention these signings in his book? I have always felt these were not his signings, I have always felt the board signed these players after the Bolton defeat as a knee-jerk reaction, but I was wondering whether Colin mentions these in his book?

Try reading it . It's a good book that all rangers fans should try and read of they get a chance . Some interesting bits in there

Don't have the time to read these days, which is why I asked here.

No it does not mention anywhere in the book about forced signings under Tonys ownership

That's interesting then. Maybe he didn't mention then out of respect, it always seemed to me though that he didn't want them.

It does mention that as the takeover was only completed a week before the transfer window shut that we didn't have much time to add to the squad so in essence panic bought . Under tango and cash there was no budget for the prem as they were selling up . In fairness warno got in what he could and some of the players helped keep the club in the top flight which was the aim . It's the following seasons dealings under that whispy haired **** Hughes that should be scrutinized not warnocks signings

And how much of that was Colin's fault?

Barton coming in clearly did seem to spoil the spirit in the training camp.

Adel felt marginalised now, and him and Traore went on their strops.

                  SWP was complete sh1te.

Colin was a great manager and he shoould never have been sacked but instead given more time.

Id say they're very much Neil signings, especially Barton
                      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

They were panic buys. The Perma-tanned clown wouldn't put up the cash in pre-season as he wanted out of the club...screwed us up big time.
