  • Sack Harry, bring back Colin and Tarbs

    Hi Forum,

I come here in peace, I know there is history of people not liking me, so if you don't like my opinion, then feel free to disagree but please let's disagree in a mature manner.

I think it is time to sack Harry. This isn't because of recent performances. This isn't a knee-jerk reaction. This is just planning for the future. I have never rated Harry as a top manager, I know he is the darling of the media, and I know some 60% said he is a "great" manager when I ran a poll here last season when he had come in, but when all is said and done and you look at his track record, he can only get "success" by spending millions and millions.

We are in a position where we have a Chairman who is willing to spend lots of money. We have never been in this position before, and we might never be again. We have already wasted two years under Hughes and now Harry. Let us now decide to fix this manager problem once and for all. Let us get a manager who is likely to be around for the next 5-6 years, one who is judged not on his media reputation, but on actual results. Finding such a manager immediately can be quite hard, so we can look for such a manager later, for the immediate future, let us plan to get promoted this season, we after all have a squad that, despite Harry's excuses, should be walking this League. I therefore think it is time to sack Harry and ask Colin back till the end of the year. Give him some money, and tell him to bring back Tarbs. I think Rene would let Tarbs go if we asked for him to be back, and I think Tarbs would be willing to come back if Colin was back and he knew the team would be built around him like before.

I am not saying Harry won't get us promoted, we have been lucky many times this season and are in a position higher than we should be, but this league is always close, and a couple of signings in Jan and we might just be too good for the other teams. I do think we need to plan for the future, and Harry isn't the future of QPR FC.

Do we really want to build a team around Taarabt again? would get us promoted if he changes his mind and decides to play in the lowly Championship but we would then be totally unprepared for the prem again as i dont think Adel is a prem quality player, not consistently anyhow.

Fair enough. Looking slightly longer term, who should be manager for the Doncaster game?

If Tarbs does well and we get promoted, we can flog him in the summer as other clubs might be interested. I don't want Colin as a manager for the Premiership, and I don't want a team built around Tarbs for the Premiership, I just think Harry has overstayed his welcome and we might as well go for a tried and tested formula than let Harry carry on.

Anyone but Bond or Jordan as they also need to go. Someone else will probably have to step up for a game and for the FA Cup too until we can get Colin sorted, he should never have been sacked, I have always believed that if TF had kept him on and let him spend some money in Jan, then he would have kept us up.

Oh Christ. And mods encouraging him rather than banning him. As if his dumb ass idea is even worth considering. Off to Watford now. Hopefully the decent thing will be done. You know how it will end, mods. Why prolong our agony???

I'll tell you why - I think we are lucky to be up there. I think we have 6 points more than we should have. And I think over the course of the season your luck tends to even out. And I don't want to leave things down to luck. I want a manager who can come in on day one and start working his magic. Colin is such a manager.

What every QPR fan should be worried about is the form of Leeds and Derby, and the quality of Leicester. I think these three teams are likely to finish ahead of us unless we change things soon.

Considering I have been banned for many months, it is only natural I will start a few threads when I am back to say things I have wanted to say.

I do not intend to be a regular poster here like before, but this forum is for everyone, not just you. I appreciate many people don't like me, and I appreciate if I post regularly then there will be animosity, and so I won't be a regular poster here, but I think if I am respecting the rules of this forum and voicing my opinion, then I am not doing anything wrong.

                            Thanks.
