Irrespective of the manager of the day, it's the players on the pitch that really matter.
As supporters we've put up with our fair share of downs and false dawns but we are prepared to accept any player, if they show some heart and passion.
This article is aimed therefore at the players.
It seems to me sitting from the stands that you blokes turn up, collect your Briatore Bundle and stage exit left home to Wokingham/Ascot/Gerrards Cross as fast as your personalised plated motors can take you.
Have you given 101% for the Club? Come on guys be honest.
Many of the Peterbro side were playing less than 24 months ago in a league that you would treat with distain as being too low down the football food chain.
The Peterbro players may have lacked some technical abilities but they beat you on passion, drive and desire. You guys just seemed to 'turn up'.
No surprise therefore that only 11,000 of us turned up and we had the lowest attendance in the Championship.
