The forward shouldn't pull off the centre back though. That is the error with that goal.

Don't get why we're laying into BAE when there were other players who were much worse then him!?

I also think that he is one of the best fullbacks in the league and am glad we have him.

I'm pretty sure from watching BAE that HE thinks he is the best left back in the division. That much is obvious.

But that's why we play a back four and why it plays across the line facing the coming ball. There's no point marking space if the left back, being behind the centre back, can see the forward pulling off.

Good full backs defend first. He can't charge down the wing and put in crosses if we don't have the ball. We spent most of the evening giving it away. Hence why Danny Simpson never offered anything going forward tonight.

BAE is one of the last people we need to change.
If he was that great then one must ask why did Spurs send him out on loan in the first place? He is nowhere near as good as you're making out. An arrogant, lazy player who thinks that our club is too small for him. A few pieces of skill here and there doesn't cut it I'm afraid. As for amusement, I'm finding your views are serving that purpose. You're almost as clueless as Mr Koejoe himself.

Before blaming BAE you need to blame

Dunne for giving the ball away and losing it.
Simpson for allowing the cross too easily
Hill for letting the forward pull off him

Ignoring the 3 other errors above then yes BAE is at at fault for the goal.

Accepting BAE was marking space, then those are fair points. And credit ought be given to the fella who put in that cracking cross......

He didn't get on with AVB by all accounts. Spurs fans could not believe they loaned him out cause they don't have a better left back. Which is why they play a centre half at left back and they are going to recall BAE.

He maybe arrogant and think he is better than our club. I don't disagree. But he is a Premiership player playing in a league below his level. As I say his job is to defend which he does very well. The skill is just a bonus. I give him plaudits for his defending and we don't have a left back who could do it any better.

Would love to know who should play left back instead of BAE that is going to improve our defence???
Please come on do tell me a better left back in the league. Still waiting....

Between him and Clint. **** communication from em both let him slip between em. Both equally to blame IMO.

I'd much rather have the hard working, 100% committed traore.....on second thoughts!

I know plenty of Spurs fans who don't rate him at all. If he was that good, then (1) he wouldn't have been loaned out, regardless of his relationship with AVB, and (2) another Premiership club would have come in with an offer.

He is certainly not a 'rubbish' player; he is skilful on the ball and quick (when he wants to be), but his performances have been consistently poor for the reasons I have already stated. I do not believe that he's been particularly strong defensively either - in fact Hill often has had to cover for him when he has been caught out of position. I don't like his 'type' - his arrogance and laziness make him irritating and I'm clearly not the only one who thinks so given Austin's response to his abysmal display in the Leicester game.

In answer to your question, check out Aaron Cresswell's stats and compare them with BAE's.

You are of course perfectly entitled to your view on BAE, but I must confess I did find the haughtiness and patronising manner of your initial post to be quite grating ('Behave' etc) hence my sardonic response.

lets put clint back at left back or traore that would be better than BAE don't you think,i agree BAE can look laid back but he played that way at spurs there are players in our team far more deserving of critisicm in my opinion ie jenas and henry who were both poor tonight and constantly hid from the ball,at least carroll was always available even if he didn't have a great game.
