Happy birthday lads. Never saw Mr Bedford play, but Stan remains my football hero to this day.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Number 10 , happy birthday and make good use of your bus pass ! Seems like yesterday you were taking corners in front of the loft and putting them right on the goal line

        saw both players play

saw both players play and lets start with brian

he was for my money the greatest ever header of the ball ive ever seen.perhaps greater than even the likes of nat lofthouse etc
he had a fantastic physique and at a time when players were not protected his ability to take punishment was uncanny, ive seen him go of to have stitches in his head then demand to come back in the second half, what a tough charactor he was when i met him in the players shop he readily accepted he had no skill whats so ever and couldnt trap a medicine ball, but he didnt need to be shkillfull if that ball was crossed so it hung in the air bedford could jump like a salmon and he would draw back his kneck and crash the ball right into the top corner,he has recorded more hatricks than any qpr player all with headers i think he did that three or four times,he had like very white skin and ginger hair so when you used to watch qpr when ever the geezer whith the really white skin was in the penalty area the crowd would shout at lazarus to cross the ball, and the ball used to end up in the back of the net

bowles of course was a different sort of player fabulously gifted and he could do anything considerd to be the best inside left in the country by many football pundits and has been many times been awarded rthe best ever qpr player to ever play for rangers, although my best ever was rodney marsh

                  Happy birthday to both.
I miss seeing Stan walking around Brentford, I waved at him one morning as I was cycling to work through the Green Dragon estate.
I believe Stan has moved back up Manchester way.

Not wrong, a much better atmosphere. Lets be honest the Paddock is absolutely dead nowadays.
