Wouldn't come as any shock to me , I can only see H going for what he see's as tried and trusted at this stage therefore I
can't see him going for an up and coming young forward from the lower leagues ie Wells or Rhodes, Crouch deal can't be more than 18 months imo

Not one for the future but would be a great foil for Austin and would defo score goals in this division

QPR assistant manager Kevin Bond says the club have not made any new enquiries about Peter Crouch.

add to that hughes stated this weekend that crouch is going nowhere in january.

but i guess your pal knows best bigdave

Oh right we have said we haven't made a bid so that must be gospel then.

I was only relaying what I had been told.

                We will soon see anyway

anyhow mate. really hope your mate is wrong on this. dont really want to see crouch back with us. his best days are over imo and only once in a while has a good game.

would rather one of the other strikers that we are currently being linked with.

shane long, wells, defoe. but being in the championship, wells will be the most realistic that we could get.

if johnson does head out to palace then we will be needing two strikers and a leftback.

This. I don't see how Crouch is any different from the deals we all slated Hughes & TF for this time last year.

                      Early 30s... check
Illustrious career with medals and caps... check
                      High salary... check
                      No sell-on value... check
                      Not getting any better... check
                      Underwhelming last few years... check
                      Nothing left to prove... check

Ok so he's a Rangers fan but that alone isn't a great reason. Lee Cook didn't exactly work second time round, for instance.

Bit of a tenuous link anyway, here's Crouch talking in 2006: "My dad was a massive Chelsea fan and I used to go with him to Stamford Bridge quite regularly but my mates were all QPR fans and so I used to also go to some games at Loftus Road with them. I never really classed myself as a fan of either but since playing for QPR I'd say my allegiance is more towards them. They are the team whose results I look out for. I don't care for Chelsea anymore; there is no allegiance there whatsoever. In fact, seeing as they are our rivals now, I hope they lose every game! "

                          Wells would be my choice

                            Would rather have Taarabt back.
And I don't really want Taarabt back.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:
