Our fans underrated him in the PL and overrate him now. If we go up, look out for more of the same next year!

In the PL he'll be up against better players, who will press him faster and his misplaced passes and other mistakes will be punished. People on here will start saying "his attitude has gone, he doesn't care". Nope, it's just the difference in the league. His attitude isn't better now; his opposition is worse.
    Ok sorry

Very true a tougher time to be a footballer in that respect

Does everyone here seriously go to LR to watch us grind out results to eventually become one of those clubs that considers 8th in the PL a great result? With maybe a once-in-a-decade Europa league run.

I'd rather watch an entertaining player nutmeg the opposition and have a laugh, thanks.
If you would rather be entertained then win may I suggest a circus because football is about the end result not how many nutmegs a player can do as you don't get any points for that

And you think entertainers want to play in the Championship then do you. Are you forgetting the Taarabt went to Fulham at the start of the season because he didn't/don't want to play for the club. That was reaffirmed when he kissed their badge in what his first appearance and yet your screaming the place down for him to return...

Yeah let's bring him back so he can destroy the club from the inside out.

his style slows down play allowing the oppo to get their shape....he delays his final ball causing offsides.....he doesn't defend which you
cant afford in the prem and he doesn't want to play in the champs

play in the champions league.......dozens and dozens of players play in the champions league...adels not been chosen for that yet.....
fans at other clubs very rarely talk about adel.....adels silky dribbling is great to look at but in itself is not football

this is rubbish, he had a real buzz before he was frozen out. the most talked about ranger since our 'return' to the prem (excluding barton's negative press & the spectacular fail that was samba)

his career shows how a football career can depend on luck.

he could still play for a champs league level club but he needs a side that play creatively, which is honestly a rarity in england. it wont happen under arry. Rene is one of THE MOST respected technical coaches working today and he put taraabt up front - i think that says a lot

Careers are not based on luck at all (injuries etc are unlucky he don't suffer from them) there based on application, attitude and wanting to succeed hence why the likes of Giggs etc are still playing.

He's simply a lazy show pony with a stinking attitude that's not luck that's a choice!!!!!!!!

It says a lot about Berbatov, Ruiz and Bent.

You're wrong about the Bowles comparison. You weren't around then but plenty people here were who watched him week in week out. Bowles WAS more consistent than Adel, he proved himself at the highest level too which Adel has never done. He was also a grafter, always a team player and would track back too. Furthermore he was always fit, a good trainer and never caused splits in the dressing room - on the contrary, his team-mates loved him.

                      on

on the bowles comparison there is some positives and that they are the following stan was always a creative winger in his youth days his decision to change to be a striker was to change his whole life i would have adel back if he was played as a striker he could get 20 goals a season and that would guarantee promotion

I am looking forward to watching Norwich v Fulham on TV to see how Taarabt is doing. I am sure nothing has changed in his attitudes.

Meulensteen said: “The one thing we know is that Adel can change games and I thought from the environment I have come from I can help him to become a more complete player.

He has been sucked in over the years by getting the ball and wanting to show what he can do, and these are things I’ve been talking to him about. He needs to find that unpredictability of using that skill at the right time to do something individually.

I put him in a game situation the other day where he could only have two touches, and he never put a foot wrong. I stopped him running with the ball and wanted him to get his head up and pick a pass. If he puts that together he has the qualities to be a top player. How many players are there with the same technical quality? He’s also strong and has got a change of pace.

We have to make sure that he utilises his talents for the best purposes of the team. If I can make him tick week in, week out he will be a great player for us.”

Didn't Barton say he also wanted to go? Bet he kissed the Marsailles badge when he was playing there, certainly no shortage of comments about how much better it was to be there than at Loftus Rd.
