  • Meulensteen praises 'excellent' Taarabt

Looked decent in the extended highlights. That was against the likes of Kompany with about as much service as our lot would give him....

He ducked at the freekick though (1st goal).
I think the sooner his transfer to them is permanent the better, he doesn't want to play for us. Not havin a go Rich

Believe me he will be back to his $hit form for at least the next 10 games.

and will not want to play for Fulham next season. We better ship him to Bradford and get Wells.

Who needs Adel? We've got O'Neil to create now.

Riise urges Fulham: Keep hold of Taarabt

John Arne Riise has encouraged Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen to keep hold of Adel Taarabt.

The QPR-owned midfielder was signed on loan by previous boss Martin Jol for the season, but could be sent back to Rangers in January if Meulensteen sees fit.

However, following a late injury to Dimitar Berbatov, the playmaker played as a lone striker in the defeat against Manchester City on Saturday and did his chances of earning a Fulham future no harm by setting up one of their goals and leading the line with gusto.

Riise said: "We know he is a player who likes to get the ball and hold on to it and create stuff on his own.

Berbatov can keep the ball as well, but Adel did brilliantly and I am happy for him because he works hard in training and it is not easy to play when a new manager comes in.

He hasn't played in the last few games and then he came in and did brilliantly. The team now has more options and things are looking good for the next few games."

Spot on the O'Neil signing has just not worked. I know some raved about his debut, which tbf I missed, I have however seen enough of him to wonder why he starts. Offers nothing to the team apart from negative football. I was hoping he'd be like a tommy smith and his lack of pace would be made up by his brain, unfortunately not!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
