Me too mate I was actually surprised by him. Few times he looked like he was going to lose the ball just to come away with it

But I thought O'Neill and Niko had fantastic debuts then to regress in their performance so will hold fire on a final judgement

Prediction - he'll be our best player in the second half of the season.

True, he always had a spark about him when he played before, I think he will do better, i think he will free up Niko a but more as he carries the ball.

                He's a good good player
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

                    This.

O'Neil was shocking at Blackpool and so I was surprised he started ahead of Jenas (who had a good game at Blackpool), but O'Neil was solid in the first half yesterday, can't remember him really doing much wrong at all - just seems he falls into that category of those easily criticised. As you say, he's not the sort to take on 4 players and pop one in top bins, but he's a steady player that will give 110% - reminds me a bit of Tommy Smith tbh.

Hoillett was absolute garbage when he came on yesterday and, tbh, I've reached the point with him now that I would rather be seeing SWP play.

The right sided O'Neil cannot play left wing. That was the problem yesterday. The tidy and cautious, defensively minded O'Neil cannot play offensively. He only plays sideways or backward balls.. And that was another problem yesterday. He brought nothing to the table playing there in that line up. Witness his pass back to their keeper..... Kelvin Henry would have offered as much in that position. And we only began to play at Blackpool when O'Neil went off and we brought more attack minded players on (not that we have many- any- attack minded players other than Charlie)..... I'm not scapegoating him, but he ought be only used where he can make some contribution which is sitting in front of the back four on the right hand side.

Yours is surely a very good anti Holliet point, not a pro O'Neil point......

Your'e dam right it is ! Hoilet could be very good player for us if he realised he is here to play for us and not here to play for J Hoilet can it be that hard to get his head up and look for team mates and try to get back to cover his full back , it wouldn't be amiss for him to take a leaf out of O'niells book and offer a bit effort to to the team
