Having reviewed yesterdays game and thought over the season that has passed in my view its not that we lack creativity which has resulted in our lack of goals its the fact that we are not clinical in front of goal and the bulk of our players lack the balls to take a shot

Yesterday is an example O'Neill runs in from the edge of the box ball is cut back to him and he passes the ball back to the keeper when he should have been putting his foot through it and bursting the net and making it one nil and its a different game.

MP goes through on goal today and last week at Blackpool miss controls first touch and chance goes

There keeper is out his goal yesterday and it comes to the edge of the box and Carroll floats a shot at goal in instead of striking it and later 2nd half at the edge of the box when he should try and shoot he tries to play a ball which was neither a shot or pass and went for a goal kick

As said we create and make opportunities but we lack the killer instinct and confidence (outside of Austin) to take the chances. Even Austin when we were down to 10 men and in the last 30sec got a chance which if he had got hold of it would have beaten the keeper at the near post but again it was more like a back pass

Wouldn't surprise me if we're down to fourth in the table in the next 7 days.Notts F are no mugs (won at Leicester recently) and Watford are starting to improve after 5 home losses on the trot. Our lack of firepower and abysmal passing and losing possession in our own half is going to prove critical. As for additional strikers,I don't know where they're going to come from.Wells,Crouch who knows?

Obviously conceding few goals is a good thing, does that mean we have to score a low amount of goals though? Why cant we concede few and score a lot???

With Redknapps passion for old timers would not be surprised to see Kevin Phillips from Palace down here in JAN and
            Johnson the other way

most of the team have other jobs than scoring - defence and keeper, Carroll at QB + Barton in CM, out of those 7 you are not going to get many goals, its great if you get goals from there but that dont explain the lack of goals so far this season, if you look there you are missing the point that is further forward.
Austin delivers goals and leads the line and works hard too, like every player every where he can do better but hes delivered plenty.

So thats 8 of the 11 covered the other three places theres four main guys been playing there - Hoilett, Phillips, AJ, Kranjcar - that is where I am looking and what do they bring to the table?

To be fair we're not scoring enough & need to do if we want to finish top of the league
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

If harry doesn't bring another striker, I don't think we will even be in the play offs as other teams below have started to climb up like Wigan and Brighton.

I would prefer signing one (Wells or Defoe) and bring Tom Hitchcock back.

I'm amazed that Charlie Austin has never been substituted during a game. If there was an occasion to do this, it was the Leicester game. He looked out of touch. He works hard for sure.....however, on some occasions, the hardest you try, the worst you get! Slipping when in good position, shooting straight when a little angled shot would have bring a goal......and we let Chevanton leave! Harry said he took a gamble on Chevanton! I cannot understand what kind of a gamble it is, if you bring a player to leave him warming the bench when there is such hunger for goals!
