  • Awful

Far too much attempted pretty football with needless flicks here there and everywhere, more often than not gifting possession away. We had no cutting edge and were vulnerable every time they attacked. It was woeful.

A typical Harry match where plan A doesn't work, yet he's clueless and never changes anything bar personnel.

Carroll was a waste of apace imo. Constantly gave away the ball, and except 1 pass in the first half may as well not been on the pitch. Totally lightweight and not worthy of a starting place. Also have no idea why we leave decent wingers on the bench or not in the squad to play O'Neil wide in what should be an attacking 3, especially on the left when all he does is run a few yards then cut back when the defender gets to him.

Rant over, the season continues and we are still joint top, so not all bad, just very frustrating as they were there for the taking and we should have a 6 point cushion on them now rather than being level.

God awful. Why the f ack play O'Neil on the left??? Have only one striker in an eighteen man squad?? Charlie didn't deserve to stay on the pitch. Nor did Phillips. Thank Christ O'Neil was pulled, but why play him?????

Indeed, I would say he's a one trick pony, but he doesn't even have one trick.

Why leave Hoilett on the bench to play him in that position...! It's ludicrous. And what about SWP also... position is made for him.

We were far from awful. Only problem today was charlie had an off day and when that happens we lose. If hes scores two of those chances we win 2-1 and everyone praises the same performance.

I like to give our players a chance but O'Neil is one of those players I haven't understood from the day he was signed what he brings. At least with a Karl Henry you get what's written on the tin but O'Neil is a nothing sort of player - not anything going forward, not a great tackler, not a brilliant passer - just bang average.

People give Hoillet a hard time but twice the player O'Neil is.

Austin has had a great season but a shocker today - and sadly even if we had "the Special One" as manager there simply weren't any other options on the bench. If Austin has pretensions to being a Prem striker he has to realise that you might only get one chance a game and you need to bury it. If we do go up we sure aren't going to be any more expansive/ attacking in the Prem.

Agree we were far from awful! We didn't get the rub of the green on several occasions , we dominated the game , they had 1 chance in each half one went in one hit the crossbar. A poor ref and a well organised team who played 8 at the back. We weren't able to break them down but we were not awful!

Beg to differ. They looked like cutting us wide open with their attacks, whereas we dominated possession and did nothing with it in the main. Only twice did we open them up and Phillips and Austin should've done better. Other than that we resorted to long shots.

It was painful to watch and we should've lost by more in the end.

I have no issue with Austin myself, he had a rare off game, that happens. The team performance was lacking and created little. Plus Harry doesn't play the bet suited players for the formation he opts to play.

When they cut us open my heart was in my mouth. Thank god for rob green and the woodwork, cos the way they cut us open if it wasnt for him it could of been 8-0
