We lack any sort of penetration

Adel Taarabt, who has been excellent today, countered down the left wing and found an unmarked Kieran Richardson, who calmly finished past Joe Hart from 12 yards out. City lead 2-1 and will go second in the table if they hold on to victory.
Above is from the BBC website, not the Adel fanzine. 2-2 now sadly btw.

Hard to argue with anything W12 has said to be fair. Don't think he's moaning for the sake of it at all. Can't understand how people cannot just accept that today, we were very much below par and certainly way below the level we need to be if we are to maintain any sort of challenge. We are just very boring to watch as we have been pretty much all season.

Bear in mind most of the people making the (constructive, rational) criticisms of the performance today were also the people warning that things weren't all rosy when we were winning games against terrible teams 1-0 without playing very well ourselves. So it's hardly knee-jerk.

Agree with W12.
Although we created many chances in the first half to a win it, we also lacked concentration inside the box or perhaps some players didn't practice how to shoot the ball/didn't choose the right timing to shoot from outside the box: Carroll, Hoilett & Krajcar. Leicester defended very well in the second half.Last edited by Yousef; 22-12-2013, 06:11 AM.QPR fan since1987

There was one moment today which summed the whole thing up when Carroll broke 25 yards out with the whole ground screaming 'shoot' he paused looked around and flicked a through ball through to no one losing us possession in the final third.

Believe it or not, they showed the game here in the states and I was able to record it. We were by far the better team. The problem is the finishing. The only one I saw with shots ACTUALLY on goal was Kranjcar. Austin, Carroll and O'Neill, WTF? We should have been 3 up in the first half.
We need to get another striker, Austin is not premier league material.

Teams are happy for us to play with the ball in areas of the pitch which are not dangerous. We seem to run out of ideas and become very predictable. Its not just today but this has been a frustration all season amongst fans. I like the way we play at times keeping possession but we also need to up the tempo to break teams down and be more direct. We seem a bit too one dimensional for my liking with no Plan B.
