  • The Problem with having a Squad with big names

Referees come to Loftus Road and look to make a name for themselves....very poor reffing.

yeh... but to be fair, many refs would have shown o'neil a straight red in the first half for the two-footed challenge he made.

they didn't show barton's second yellow on tv, was it bad? that said, barton should have noticed by now that he'll get booked for stuff that most players get away with. what happened when taylor-fletcher had a tantrum about the goal kick/corner just after barton's red showed that the ref was bottling things... not up to scratch for this level.

in any case, he made a name for himself by stopping play for 5 minutes because of a squirrel...

Wasn't bad, just petulant and stupid.

Flicked the ball at the guy he'd just fouled. Given that the ref had already had to give his captain a lecture in the first half to warn him to shut up, it was brainless.

For a side full of prem experience and high profile names, I've been really surprised at our lack of quality and class.

We look slow, and forward passes are often 50/50 balls that the front men are asked to win. We need pace, and a good playmaker. Kranchar seems past his best, O'neil looks out of his depth, Carroll wants more time on the ball, and has been poor, so maybe Benyoun could fill this no 10 roll?

Yeah but Varney was going way over the top with his F'ing and Blinding to the ref and lino all match, yet gets nothing, as did that tub of lard that came on for them, just after Barton's sending off. You could see or players saying to book him, Hill especially because he had a right go at the lino who didn't give the corner, which the ref overruled.

If he wants to be as petulant as this with Barton, he shouldn't let stuff like that go.... and before anyone says they all swear at the ref, yeah they do, but not in the fashion both those players did.

What was Joey thinking... he let the team down today.

Slow or not, his ball skills and passing skills win us matches.

Niko Kranjcar tops our post-match Twitter poll following hisperformance at The Den.

I thought Niko did ok in the first half but like the rest of the team in the second.
