With so much change ahead of us the club should be going out of their way to contact its season-ticket holders to consult them properly. I think fans on the Internet seriously underestimates the percentage of our fan base who don't have access to or use Internet forums. TF may be at the forefront of technology and social media but it doesn't mean everybody else is.
Agreed - I was only really talking about the club crest (I don't really care about it tbh). For the bigger decisions the ST holders and members should definitely be directly engaged and consulted.

As you said there is a database it's not a lack if respect at all to other supporters I know plenty of people who would fall into this category of potentially being excluded . I'm more interested in existing ST holders being prioritised in decision making if that's what TF actually wants.

Just to add also you right in expanding this with respect to a database I think where my original line of thought has come from is to avoid using the Internet for various reasons stated as the main platform for feedback.

Anyway I better get my skates on I have a football match to go and watch might see you over there mate Merry Christmas

      • Simple thing would be just to keep the current badge
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

I like the current badge and I think most accept it with the exception of a few twitter freaks who like to bombard uncle tony with pointless tweets.

Which is precisely why we need to move away from this media platform as the main interaction with fans

There's plenty on here that hate the current one with a passion.

You do love to talk for 'most' QPR fans don't you?

No I don't but it's just human nature to get use to something and accept it. What we have is a few fans who want to turn back the clock and rebrand the club again. It's a ****ing badge , it is not a main topical issue but some fans could not let it go.

I don't much care about the badge either, I don't dismiss those that do though, and that's why I think it would be nice for all QPR fans to have a say.

Find ways to reach those that don't have access to the internet, absolutely, but don't dismiss those that use different methods of communicating.

Just because you have a pathological distrust of Twitter, doesn't mean the people using it should have their opinion dismissed.

                • My old man is an ex season ticket holder ( hes 83 now ,so cant get to matches anymore ) ,but the club still emails him ,so they obviously do keep peoples details even if they have to give up their STs , so someone like Richards friend would still be consulted .The bottom line is if you are on the clubs database ,whether you are a member ,ST holder ,bought tickets or merchandise ( or an ex ST holder ) you would get a say , How is that unfair ?

( i hate this new badge and ive never bought any merchandise with it on , but thats just my personal opinion )

As for people digging out W12 ,seems to me this is getting a bit personal and wrong

Dont matter what badge gets picked or who gets to advise as TF will be getting slaughtered on his twitter account by those who will inevitably hate the new one.Never going to please everyone and he leaves himself open to it by having a twitter account which he uses for the positive PR.

This is very probably true, but he can only listen to those that are talking to him.

Which is what I was trying to get W12 to understand in the stadium thread. He was absolutely adamant that the Twitter *insert insulting word here* weren't representative of 'most QPR fans', but insisted he wouldn't offer his opinion to the club until they contacted him to ask for it.

                        Everybody's voice should be heard.

                          True.

I'm sure he was well aware of the fact that negative feedback and abuse would be part of the Twitter experience when he signed up. It's a good thing that we have a chairman so willing to engage personally with the fans despite that, surely?

Totaly agree Vblock that's another reason to keep it. Everyone has an opinion but can't see the excuse that it is Flav's badge as a reason

                              • You won't please all the people all of the time, I personally love our current badge. I also think clubs shouldn't be changing badges or tradition

This is impossible to please everyone, just have to respect whatever is done, we all support QPR right?
                                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                                And many more mistakes
