Why do people rave on about the badge. It's a good badge... but either way, who cares.

Yeah but the previous one is old and out of date now. It looks like it was designed by a primary school child.

Out of date?designed by a primary school kid?,I disagree mate thought it was a decent crest and at least it didn't allegedly cost the club £20,000 to get someone to design It.I know you have to move with the times,Im not naive, its all about marketing the club as a global brand etc but our current badge aint OUR's its Briatores Cclub badge.Dont wanna Hijack the thread. Tony is the new Messiah but I agree with being a bit skeptical/cautions don't want end up like Cov.city really dont like the idea of us not owning our ground,if were not getting any revenue from the stadiums other uses I dont give a monkeys about a retractable roof and how easy they can turn it round to hold a One Direction concert I'd just settle for something like this download (2) boavista large.jpg

Looks like a few more than 4 of us are out there.
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

The eighties crest was a bit 'Look! I've got a new calligraphy kit!' The new one is controversial but I actually prefer it.

Won't be upset about changing it though.

Exactly. Some kid got a new set for Xmas and had a bit of fun. Look Essexsteve, don't get me wrong, I did used to like the old one at the time but its like when you get a new car, it makes your old one seem old. I didn't mind the old one at the time and didn't mind/wasn't too upset with the change to the new one. I don't mind the new one now either but won't get upset if/when we get a new one.

We won't be going back to an old badge, we're more likely to get the new one amended or a new one designed with older badges in mind so there's just as much chance of someone not liking that one either!

Mate I understand where your coming from.I'm not expecting a return to any of the old badges but I'd be happy if we came up with a decent badge and just ****** stuck with it.No feather boa's or Crown etc.A hooped shield interlocking/interlinking letters fine.qpr 1970s badge.jpg with me it all boils down to the fact its still the Megalomaniacs badge sooner its gone the better!

Agree 100% - Looked like it was designed by a kid testing the calligraphy set they'd got for Xmas.

                      Hammersmith badge all the way.

Fair play to your views. Personally I also think the 70s badge is old and dated. I prefer the current one although wouldn't object to them toning down the "feather boa" bit.

However I don't see it and think of the tanned one. I see the club I've supported all my life and feel proud of it.

The 80's one yes, but the 70's one was quality:

If you listen to the 'open all rs' podcast that the op has quoted from then you will hear Tony himself say that the badge will change and will be discussed with the fans but probably not to the old one.
Have a listen to the podcast. It's a really good live interview.

To be honest Stan, I see the latest badge as just a progression of these. For me the overlapping letters are old and out of date.

Tone down the feathers a bit maybe, although it seems the main objection to this one is that that it reminds people of the tanned one. It doesn't for me as he's long gone. This is my club of which I'm proud!
