  • Richard time to rein in now.

I have been observing the 3 amigo's W12, v block and yourself and it is all getting a little tiring and embarrassing.

W12Ranger is clearly on a wind up, I mean 1 moment he is saying that Tony is full of hot air and won't build a new stadium and now Tony has made those accusations pretty pointless he is now siding with v block about Capacity.
Yes every poster on this board know you love loftus road like myself and many on here but I think we get your point.
I would have thought w12 would of taken the low profile approach after getting it so #### about face!

Richard you're just encouraging the same posts over and over, it's like an autobiography of the adel thread.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Maybe he has a slightly different opinion to T Block Dicky Boy, both would argue they are both right but ultimately not throw their toys out the pram and produce 100 page report on the subject matter which everyone has to listen to!!!

        1) you say business consultants or similar must of been involved in getting the 40k figure.Wrong. Tony says no.

        2) you tell W12 that tonys a successful businessman and he would listen to consultants over fans. Wrong Tony says no point in expensive business consultants it will be fan driven.

        3) you say club must of done feasibility tests to get to 40k. Wrong nothing has been decided . Size hasn't been decided could be 30 or 40k he will listen to fans.

        4) you endlessly went on about other usage for the stadium.whether it's the case or not Tony makes no mention on podcast so not a priority as you see it. It's a football stadium so it follows the capacity will be based on how many the club can get in on match day not whether 1D are touring on Wednesday.

        5) wants to hear from fans not just good but bad. He doesn't want Gareth types from the office who are yesmen bit even the boss doesnt agree with what they are going on about.

        6) your view is not to be critical. Wrong Tony accepts fans are going to be worried and is reassuring us. He doesnt think it's a problem to have concerns, why do you? Some fans have been st holders for over 20 yrs, QPR and LR have been part of life for generations. Whats wrong with querying and questioning. People weren't doing it enough early in his tenure and looked what happened.

You say solutions, wrong again he don't want solutions he wants feedback which can be critical which is what some of us our airing.
I will respond one by one.

        1. If there wasn't any consultation involved, where did 40k come from? Perhaps you should tell this lot that 40k may or may not happen

        2. Again, I refer you to the link. If this was really going to be fan driven as you say, why wasn't there consultation prior to the announcement being made?

        3. Again, where did this 40k figure come from in press releases and official statements? Even the club's partner is quoted as saying 40k.

        4. Tony did not say anything about the use of the stadium, but the chief executive is on record as saying the new stadium needs to be multi-purpose to make it viable.

        5. Of course fans want an input and it's the right thing for TF to say so. However, he has also said he wouldn't be able to please everyone. Some want 30k, some want 35k, some want 40k. This won't be left to a fans vote on the subject. And in any case, doing a fans forum to make the decision leaves us wide open to fans of other clubs expressing opinions. Imagine a few thousand fans of other clubs sabotaging the fans forum and influencing the decision.

        6. I've been a fan for over 40 years. I don't disagree that all fans should be able to express an opinion, or query and question, but shouldn't this be rational and have at least some reasoning behind them? It's all well and good to say we don't want or need a 40k stadium, but surely this should be backed with a reason why not?

Do you really believe that TF doesn't want solutions? He says LR is too small at 18k. He wants to build a bigger ground. Isn't that a solution to the capacity problem at LR?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I wonder if the project is on hold until the plans have been presided over by the fans and a vote taken among us to determine capacity, design etc.

                        I also noted this:

Plans to develop a 40,000 capacity football stadium at the heart of the regeneration area.

Populous say it's going to be a football stadium rather than a music venue.

I've asked this question a number of times now and not a single response.

No one knows that's the bottom line, I hazard a guess and say no new infrastructure for the planned opening of the new ground in 2018.
