On what basis do you believe this, maybe one interview when he was trying to big him up so he might tow the line. There is no chance of him going to Derby. For the 100th time he has burn thus bridges in this country (and many abroad ) football is a relatively small community and nobody wants anything to do with him.

Your ability to read Steve McLaren's mind is impressive.

However, I'm sure he won't ever play for us again. That prospect makes me sad. It seems to make lots of people very happy which I don't quite understand.

Well he's at Fulham for the season. No use worrying about it now.

I am pretty sure we wil not sell/loan him to any Championship club competing for promotion at least till the end of the season.

Honestly believe its time to accept that he's played his last game for this club and even if we went up i wouldn't expect him to return . Too many bridges have been burned and no one will ever tollerate him like warno again in his life. Could have stayed and been a hero here if hed knuckled down and worked hard, fact is he couldn't even be bothered to turn up on time pre season. IMHO he's made his bed now let him lie in it and get rid ASAP

Exactly this. Why people hang on to players is beyond me. He was great and thanks for the memories, but he'll always think he's bigger than the club and when someone else comes knocking he'll repeat his previous antics. We are just as good of a side without him and can't see why this story gets as much airtime as it does. He's had more chances than a cat has lives. As Harry said "I’m not desperate. Players who wanted to leave in the summer because we got relegated – good luck to them at their new clubs." He weren't interested in us when Fulham came knocking and now because it hasn't worked out for him there he wants to come back. Also as Harry said “I just want good lads who go to bed early, get up in the morning, come in to training, earn their thousands of pounds a week by training hard – it’s not asking too much.” Says it all really. Time to cut our losses and move on chaps. Unfortunately he comes with too much baggage.

The days of selling him for a big fee so we can make money after spurs take a big chunk has long gone. Cant see anyone spending anymore than £5 mills for him (not that he is worth that at the moment). So the question is would TF be willing to sell him for that low amount, because if not then looks like we are stuck with him. That sell on clause from Spurs has stitched us up. I remember we wouldn't sell him to a French club for £12 mills coz we lose 25% to Spurs (i think) so we wanted more. We would take it now though!!!!

I reckon he will be let go for absolutely nothing just to get rid of him, whenever anyone comes for him. Russia, Spain or otherwise.

Dont think they would be bothered about around 30 bob from a sell on clause from us after spending 111 million last season.

I think he will go to either Qatar or UAE.

Spurs sell on clause ends in july so whatever we sell Adel for after that is ours. thats why we haven't sold him this season we're waiting for the clause to run out, and he went out on loan, I personally can't see anyone paying anything like £5M for him, think we'd be lucky to get 2M with everyone knowing what he's all about, and his antics unfit, selfish overweight, unless someone maverick is preapred to take a punt on him like Warnock did? but think the best we'll get is £2m Max

I think we would get what we paid for him, probably £1m.

He was a terrific player for us in the Warnock Era some of the best football I had seen in a long time. But I don't really think he can come back now as bridges have been burnt.
