the area is a total sh ite hole , hopefully put in some decent pubs in the new development. Who cares about postcodes, its near enough to LR site , it could have been a lot worse like the old site mooted in uxbridge
As recommended by WCE,I checked the plans on the BBC site and compared these to the CarGiant site on Google Earth and it definitely appears that the Car Giant site accounts for about two thirds of the total site proposed for a new stadium plus around 19,000 new homes etc.I bet CarGiant are happy - not.
At least TF & co Don't have to build a car park, should cut down the costs by about 0.003%.
My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.
But most if not all of the w postcodes are north of the river, which to a south Londoner would be north London anyway?
True , everything South of the water is South London ,( so Chelsea and fulham will never be South London clubs ,whatever their postcodes might suggest ) and when i cross back to the good side a warm glow comes over me ( and when i cross to the bad side ,my heart somehow feels a little heavy ) , if i could move Rangers to South London, i would , but somehow that wouldnt be right , supporting QPR is a cross i happily bear ,even if it means ,leaving paradise and going into Hades ,every couple of weeks .
Anyhow a West (or East postcode ) is always preferable to a North postcode
Could someone please educate me.Does the proposed site include the land owned by the expansive CarGiant? I ask this as the local and National news coverage and outside broadcasts appear to show the gates and perimeter railings of CarGiant, unless I am mistaken.I'm probably wrong and it's nowhere near OOC.I ask this as my mate took me on a nostalgic journey on my 70th birthday which included our old haunts as kids and teenagers including,Greenford,Hanwell(schools),Portobello Rd etc.Over 50 years ago,he served an apprenticeship at what was Rolls Royce, now CarGiant. As mentioned,I'm probably mistaken, but we'd both be happy if you could clear this up.
You're right and well spotted. But that was with my daughters and grand-children to Shardeloes on16th Nov.(my birthday). The trip to Greenford,Hanwell,Portobello Rd and the site of the proposed new stadium (CarGiant) was last week with my old school chum and best man.
We started as a NW postcode club so we only going back home. Plus we get some breathing space from the scum which is a good thing because it helps us get more supporters, since we have 40,000 seater stadium. Our owners are clever buggers!!!!
some people forget that part. The club got it's name from being located in Queen's Park which is in NW London.
I am looking forward to the move and having a big catchment area to attract new fans. NW London does not have a professional club...yet. Just think of all those potential new fans QPR can attract by being a successful Premiership club.

the catchment area hasn't changed it's half a mile up scrubbs lane
Queens Park post codes are NW6, NW10, and W10. But effectively Queens Park is in the North West area. So to me, we are going back home since we are moving to NW postcode.

Excuse my naivety but have we actually been given the "go ahead" with this ground and surrounding buildings? Or are these just ideas and drawings being put forward?

Been given the go ahead. Even Boris is very happy with this project
