We instead proceeded on our quest for premiership domination by purchasing the likes of Mbia, Diakite, Dyer and BZ.
Instead of buying land in NW London, our shareholders should have been buying quality players.
That doesn't make sense.Part of your criticism along with a few others is that TF spent alot of money on players, and now look where we are.We may not have spent £102m but we spent more money in the 2 years he has been chairman than at any other time i can remember in our history. If we spent that sort of money on players you would be on here complaining that it's not sustainable in a ground this size, in fact it has already been said on here.

I would love to see our club be a permanent, competetive side in the Prem, with a shiny new stadium that is the envy of the football community. How fantastic it could be when the new generations of fans, (our children and grandchildren) are in it with us, along with the thousands of youngsters who we gave the opportunity to support someone other than the London sides that have been traditionally successful, or in Chelsea's case, bought their success. Would love us to win titles and cups, or at the very least compete for them. Surely every true Rangers fan wants us to win every game and be successful in everything we do. I can understand people being concerned, worried even, as to what the different future may hold. Try viewing it the way that some of us do, who can remember very well the days when we were London's top club for five years on the trot. The days when Chelsea's crowds were rarely bigger than ours, when we had the better team, the better ground and the better future. Things change, in football as in life. We allowed Chelsea to get bigger by not stopping them ourselves. Maybe we didn't have the opportunity. Or maybe we simply were too scared to take advantage of one.
Because Richard has got hold of this report and keeps harping on about it even though it has no real bearing on QPR. Also Richard ,wont let anyone who disagrees with him have a point of view .
People have come back to him with opinions ,but because he has this "report " he thinks he`s "bested " people in a debate ,well sorry thats not my idea of a debate at all.
We were never in a position to stop Chelsea`s rise nor did they rarely get bigger crowds then us , theyve always had bigger crowds then us even though we did used to have a better team and ground. But we certainly couldnt have stopped their rise theyve always been a more fashionable bigger club then us.

home ground for QPR FOOTBALL CLUB

PS any luck finding a report to show how we are going to enjoy our matchday experience in a half empty soulless stadium yet ?

He has also missed the point I was attempting to make, maybe I worded it wrong.

Well before Abramovich came along and bought success, Bates had invested fortunes on both the team and the ground. In fact, he was very lucky to get away with it, because had there not been a rich Russian in the wings, they were heading for financial collapse. He would never have chosen to sell, he simply had no choice in the matter.

Our owners didn't invest. They didn't gamble, didn't take a risky opprtunity. Therefore, we fell away quickly from our previous level and we all know what followed. Now we have the chance to put it right.

Got to admire Fernandes's passion in making his money and he has never been afraid to fail in any of his business's. A marketing and PR guru with a massive ego. It's the Malaysian curse of "build it big" that has probably seen him come up with the 40k figure. Probably end up being 30k anyway once things are finalized years from now. Anyway, never gonna convince all fans that a move from Loftus road to this Music venue is the right thing and not all fans trust old moon face Fernandes (no matter how much it grates Richard :-) ) Best just to agree to disagree.

You try and be all smart saying " whim of a rich foreign businessman " and then make a jumped up point that its actually at least four businessmen ,well read my original post ,you know the one you quoted ,it says businessmen .So well done ,you norsed up your first point.
The fact they`re foreign is brought up ,because they ,obviously don`t understand the size and history of QPR ,( its pretty obvious to anyone who is associated with a club of our size that a 40,000 is not in the interests of generating the sort of atmosphere we need ,ie either a half empty ground or a ground full of away fans or tourists .)

How can you say things wont change beyond all recognition ? How do you know that`s "simply not true " ? Seems to me taking us out of W12 ,putting us in a multi purpose 40,000 (or is it now smaller ,because it hadn`t been thought out properly in the first place ? ) stadium in New Queens Park ,will change the face of QPR pretty drastically .
As for your " law of nature ,fact of time comment " .Really ?Just what is that supposed to mean ? Sounds like just a lot of hot air ,from someone who`s trying to sound a bit more intelligent than he is.
As for my " unbalanced " question ,see my comment above.

I have no problem at all if my concern is wrong in your opinion , but that is all it is ,your opinion .
                    you sound angry

Probably just doing what all developers do, going for a over the top, extremely high end figure knowing it wont be agreed, then the planners cut it down to what you really want.

...v i hope this stadium is built to everyone's satisfaction mate, i think it will elevate the club up a rung and be a good thing. I hate seeing Rs having a go at each other. I know we can't all agree on everything and that would be boring anyway, so hopefully it will be satisfactory to all

Yes i remember a final game of the season v Liverpool i think that they had to get a result (can't remember what) to qualify for champs league, and more importantly save Bates' skin, and the a buyer came in.
Yeah our owner was just interested in getting the returns from transfers mate, which over the early to mid 90s we lost 4 England ints and then Peacock, it took it's toll.
