I voted for 35,000 but in the nano-second since I cast my vote I've actually changed my mind! I now think 25,000 initially expanding to 35 then 45 if there's the demand i.e like the fake Hoops.Much better than having 20,000 rattling around in a 40,000 capacity ground.

      40k.
Following the German model of selling cheap tickets with good facilities and there won't be a problem filling it. This should be about the next generation and bringing in old and new families that can't afford todays prices is the way to go.
A smaller stadium could result in higher ticket prices and prevent this.
Is it a risk? For sure but what a cracking opportunity to secure our place in London and the game itself and one that our nearest 'neighbours' would die for...

Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?

For us that would mean around 29k.

You go to bed with that report under you pillow? You seem to have taken it very much to heart. It's like prophecy for you isnt it? :-)

If were going on posters from all the messageboards that actually go to games, some where in the region of 80 should do it.

I see your point Rich,A nice new ground with decent facilities such as leg room and not having a mini Hillsborough trying to get a beer or go for a **** at halftime plus a greater number of low cost tickets will definatley swell our gates. Also theres the sheer amount of new houses and good transport links with our new site stadium too. I may be being a tad cautious suggesting 25k. Expansions take time and money but I hate just the thought of us rattling round in a 40k stadium with only 25k in it....or with 15k away support when Man ure are in town! this is a nice problem too face for the club after years in the wilderness jangling buckets for change and a megalomaniac in charge!!

No mate, just aware of what could happen when we get a new stadium.

Anyway, we will get a 40k stadium. It's prophesied in Nostradamus

So why on earth do we need a 40k music arena then ?

Can you ask Uncle Tony that tomorrow when you meet up for your Frappuccinos

                          Dear Victor

Your stalking is getting worrying. The response was to Steve, not you. You seem obsessed with hounding people. I hope you're not like this when you're not being a keyboard warrior.

And where does it show I'm forcing people to agree with me? I raised a point with Steve who kind of agreed with me if you bothered to see the reply.

                          Now move along boy.....

I take it you've not seen the pictures of the proposed new stadium. One of them showed a football match in progress, with a player taking a corner. I didn't see one of a concert taking place. I take it you have? If so, please enlighten us.

For your information, Phil Beard has said it will be a multi-purpose stadium, not a music arena. That includes playing football there. And the reason it's going to be multi-purpose is because we need to maximise income from it. As PB rightly said, you can't have a multi-million pound structure sitting idle for 340 days a year not earning a single penny.

I wonder if Man City fans lost the plot when Oasis played at Maine Road, or Arsenal fans when Bruce Springsteen played at the Emirates, or England fans when Wembley holds lots of different events other than football.

Can't believe you're moaning about the stadium being used for other purposes. I bet you had a right hissy fit when we hosted boxing at LR.....

                              Richard, Richard, Richard ............. You've FAILED to answer my question ! ! ! !
Lets have another go shall we - IF YOUR BELOVED REPORT 'PREDICTS' OUR SUPPORT GROWING TO 29k WHY WOULD WE NEED A 40k STADIUM ? ? ?

For the record, AGAIN ! I have no problem with any new stadium being multi purpose, I had no problem with Barry McGuigan fighting @ LR, didn't have a problem with celebrity five a sides & EVEN THOUGH I'M AGNOSTIC I did blink an eye @ Billy Graham brain washing feeble minded nutters in W12 !

BUT I fail to see how my matchday experience is going to be enhanced by rattling around a half empty stadium !

Maybe you could spend today trawling t'internet to find a report to convince me I will ..........

I expect around -28,000-30,000 fans to be interested in attending our home games within 10 years If we go up, establish ourselves well in the Premier League and have the right pricing. So having a bit extra seats is important. I will go for 35,000.

If Fulham can attact 25,000 and alot of them are tourists, we can definitely attract more.
