  • compare the seasons.................

In 2010/11 promotion season, we collected 41 points from the first 20 games and lost our first game in the 20th game (3-1 home to Watford).

This season we have collected 42 points from 20 games so far despite losing twice.

Good fact, plus this is a much harder division now than it was then.

This was a brilliant result. However, I must stress that our first half performance was a real shambles and we must be thankful to Rob Green for keeping us in the game. Those 45 minutes were as lethargic as one can imagine! Second half was completely different. Rangers played the way that the potential of the team suggests we do. Must say that Krancjar and Onohua were class, while Philips showed glimpses of his true potential. More games like the second half please.....less like the first half!

you ever played against the wind and waited for half time to change ends....surely you know how different it is with the wind against you..

I was talking about this down the pub last night. Normally 42 points in 20 games would see you running away with this division so fair play to Burnley and Leicester for keeping up with the pace. It will be interesting to see which teams (if any) can keep this form up all season. To be honest, right now I'm more concerned about Derby than anyone else, they are flying under McClaren!

Spot on Martin.I know we're top and all that, for which I'm grateful, but we've had too many first halves like that and need to be more ruthless and clinical in our finishing if we are to consolidate.

Another fun fact; we've conceded 0 goals with Tom Carroll in the team.

That's the advantage of having a top class keeper . How many points has rob green earned up this season ? Phenomenal when you think about it . Worth his weight in gold

That's very interesting! We haven't conceded many goals overall but that is a stat I wouldn't have imagined! From the matches I have been able to see he has given our passing game a boost which I suppose makes it harder for the opposition to score!
