Very worrying to read some of the resistance to change and animosity towards the owners.
Quite simply, our owners decided a few years ago to invest in our club and commit to it by backing the managers with money that no Rangers manager ever saw the likes of before. Despite the setback of relegation, they continued to demonstrate their commitment by investing heavily in the new training complex. Also, proving that lessons had been learnt, they spent even more, considerable sums for this league, on Austin and Phillips. Young, hungry players with potentially very bright futures. Players with their heads screwed on, prepared to work hard to get their rewards. And they did this whilst resisting the options to overpay the likes of Wayne Bridge or give too long an initial contract to Benayoun. What a change from what we saw recently.
And now, they are continuing to demonstrate the commitment that they had promised all along with regards to a new stadium. A stadium that will not only be a superb home to our football club, but one that will be able to pay for itself in the future, making even more profits that can be invested in the football club.
On top of this, they appear to be happy to consult with fans and have meaningful discussions as to how best to proceed in the short, medium and long term in order to ensure that all views are taken into account based upon possibilities and facts rather than just blinkered and bigoted views.
We are incredibly lucky to have these people and I just can't believe how they are portrayed by some. Heaven forbid they make a profit in the process. Hardly at the expense of QPR FC though is it, bearing in mind how long ago it has been since QPR FC showed any profit of any nature. The club was almost out of business on more than one occasion in the last decade, due to consistently incurring financial losses. Forget any nonsense about "our money", there isn't any of that. All the money being spent/invested is their personal risk. No sane financial institution would lend money to a club with the financial track record that we spent years accruing. How do you think the ABC loan got there in the first place and why it was so hard to get rid of.
I remember the views of the West Ham fans a couple of years ago, saying that Fernandes was all mouth and no trousers and were so pleased they had Gold and Sullivan. Now they are going to rent a ground, just like Coventry, with no prospect of building years and years of substantial future revenues.
As they have stated before, planning permission is at least a year away, so plenty of time to get the designs right and work out ways of having both the capacity for larger crowds, whilst retaining the more intimate feel should it take longer than they hope for them to grow.
Seems to me that everything they have been working on, the decisions they have been making, have all been geared to how best to benefit our club. Unconditionally, I might add. Not for them, wanting to change our name to some animal. Not for them, insisting that in return for their cash we must play in red. They haven't even taken us over and removed our "lucky statue", resulting in a team hurtling into the relegation zone.
For crying out loud, can we not just have the good grace to trust them until such time as they give us a reason not to? Everything they have ever promised, they are delivering on. I'm not suggesting we shouldn't all have a good old debate about 30k or 40k, or pretend that leaving Loftus Road won't be unbelievably difficult for some of us. But to criticise them after the way they are treating us, the commitment they have shown and continue to show is just beyond belief.
And for those that don't go regularly to complain about a bigger ground in order to attract and keep hold of those that do or will do, really takes the biscuit.

Personally, I think he'll still go with the original plan and perhaps do the cheap tickets option with kids getting in for free.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I don't dislike him, I just don't particularly like him either.
One day we are announcing to the world we are bout to build a 40k seater stadium, its all over sky sports with write ups in the press etc. Then two days later with a little bit of criticism from some fans…"hold up we might have got it wrong, what do you think?"
No wonder fans of other clubs think he is a fool, meanwhile we've got the likes of Dicky Boy telling us these business experts know a little bit more than your average QPR fan etc.
We all want to see QPR move forward, its just some of us are a little bit more realistic than others.
Think now it's a case of people not liking him and wishing to #### him whatever he does.

Common sense would be to announce a 30k stadium with room to expand in the future.
Cheap tickets, I doubt that very much!

I think most/some of you here have missed the point, when 40,000 was announced it isn't just for football, on match days I would say 25,000/30,000 will be open in bigger games and the rest will be for other events.
Football stadiums can no longer survive on trading just 26 home games a year.

Personally, I would be very happy to have 25-30,000 seats with the capability to put more in if and when needed. Building to a smaller capacity and having certain posters complaining that they can't get a seat because we keep selling out would be more than I could bear.
Maybe we could move LR to Kent or offer the option of free admission or live streaming so as not to inconvenience us.
