We already have Phillips and he is starting to click so forget Townsend. Talking about inconsistency, you don't expect a player to play well in every game, don't you? Phillips has scored 2 goals in the last 3 games so I think this could be a sign he will have a good form from now on. Remember he has not been regular due to injuries.

Its a bit like comparing Austin to Rooney, no denying Austin has been absolutely brilliant for us but Rooney is by far a lot better.

As much as how good Phillips is, Townsend IMO on his day is the best winger in all decisions.

At present it's Andy rather than Jocky. But that may change in the next few years.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

It seems like he has turned a corner now; in the second half he used his speed and Power effectively. He dared to tske on defenders aswell. A huge step forward for himhence, I hope to see him more of in future matches aswell. But please,in general, let us play the ball on the floor. We have the personell to do so.

3 or 4 years ago matty was a prem player Andros was unknown.....1 year ago many on here were saying Andros was bang average....seemed he had to go to another
team to be any good.......apparently if youre in the prem then you are better that is the only proof required, that seems to be a lot of peoples answer...if you think
about it there is a flaw in that logic...ie when becks was on loan in lower divisions there were many players in the league above who are now long forgotten....
watching matty, I wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a more effective player than andros...don't get me wrong , im a huge fan of Andros and feel he
              deserves his England place etc

true Andros plays for England and matty plays for Scotland....then again D batty played for England and poor old George best could only manage N ireland

Crazy post and expect nothing more from some of our fickle fans who get carried away just after a victory. If we lose on Saturday to Leicester I expect to see the same faces back again whinging, moaning, slating the club and the board....

Philips had a good half 2nd yesterday nothing more. And in case you missed it we are playing in the Championship, not the Premiership against a lot of the worlds best players. Philips can't get a consistent place in the Scottish eleven nor can he command a consistent place in our first eleven. His goal yesterday was a stroke of luck which took a wicked deflection, yeah it was a good ball for Austin goal too, but how about the seven or eight times he run into their players? Or the many times his crosses don't get past the first man? How this thought even crossed your mind is beyond belief.

I suggest you just focus on enjoying being top of the pile in the penultimate weekend before Christmas and stop getting carried away. It's a marathon not a sprint!

whos getting carried away...ive watched players for over 40 years im certainly not basing anything on one performance

I don't even think he was man of match

crazy......comparing 2 players attributes ..getting carried away...that's rich from BOOOOOOOOOOM boy!

I don't think you would be able to find an example of myself whinging moaning or slating the board
after a performance....I happen to think mattys attributes, MAY be worth more in the long run

And why did he have a good second half, do you think?
Answer; we started to play to his strenght!
He has also been out With a dislocated shoulder for a while.

oh dear...the font of all knowledge has arrived

sure you wasn't one of those that claimed Andros was average and only looked good cos QPR were so sh1t in the prem

as some years roll by you may begin to realise that what football is about is comparing relative attributes of players in the medium term
