We pretty much have the whole of North/West London to ourselves in terms of untapped potential catchment area.

How do you think that population compares to Southampton's and Brighton's?

West Ham a far bigger club than ours, do you mean they have a bigger stadium at the moment?

The club's history proves that staying at LR playing in the championship or lower is a flawed business model.
I'd say TF's business model of the last 2 seasons was pretty flawed ..... And that had nothing to do with stadium size either

Well I think the NW London population are far more unlikely to come and support their local team unlike Southampton and Brighton

The population of Southampton is around 237,000. Brighton's is around 274,000.

The population of NW London is around 1.8m.

In my mind this is all about the Premier League brand, it completely ignored the recession and grows at staggering pace. These TV deals will only get bigger and If they start to truly max out the overseas potential then Premier League clubs will skyrocket in value. Obviously an 18k stadium doesnt fit this future.

But again, that comes back to how well it's all marketed / branded etc, right?

Let's hope we are a bit more successful at tapping North West London than we have West London then all these years.

The deal BT Sport struck with UEFA was staggering. The next prem league deal will be the biggest ever. BT will put in a massive bid whereas Sky will have to eclipse it to stay in the sports market as a major player, and of course they have the money to invest as a result of the savings made from their failed champions league bid.

                      "Marketed" / "Branded"

I feel like I'm at business seminar sometimes on this website nowadays.

What ever happened to good old fashioned support.

I really can't wait to witness the QPR Brand Mk III

Like it or not that's the reality of it now mate. The two are inextricably linked and it's the only way forward if we want to compete, let alone succeed.

To put this in perspective, the population of Merseyside is around 1.4m, which hosts two major premier league clubs. The 1.8 million I quoted does not include West London or Middlesex where there is already an established fan base.

There is enormous potential in NW London if the club is promoted right.

What will assist this process? An established premier league club that has a new state-of-the-art stadium and a top class youth academy. And all in a major new regeneration project in London.

The only thing is dicky boy is football fans in London don't normally live within the vicinity of a ground they normally travel in from the suburbs...so that leaves you with immigrants or the sort of support Fulham have.

I'd have a lot more time for your argument if you stopped talking about un tapped potential in Northwest London and focused on the areas where we do have a support.

You just sound like a bad PR man

You're talking about older fans who grew up in the vicinity of the club but have since moved out. I was living in north west London when I became a QPR fan.

How about you? Where were you living when you became an R? Did you live near the ground or did you live in the suburbs and travel in?
