  • Have We Got The Best Chairman In The Country?

Tony Fernandes has done nothing but back our club to the hilt since he arrived, and these new ground plans are just unbelievable. Who could of ever envisaged in back in the bucket days and lee cook giving us his own hard earned dough that we would be looking at plans like we saw last night. I honestly think TF is the best chairman in the country and the vest we have ever had.

    Agree mate.
Would be interesting to see where we would be if TF had took over back in 2008 instead of Briatore and co....

He made some awful mistakes at first when he showed his footballing naiviety, but since then he has been excellent. Thencasenof benny yoon only getting a six month deal being a prime example of how much he and the club have learnt from their mistakes.

Rather have a rich billionaire fan of the club in charge than a group of businessman out to make as much money as they can for themselves but i suppose we are just not that lucky. Reckon TF fantasies that we are his beloved West Ham? Not the worst Chairman we could have ended up with (remember Paladini!) but certainly not the best.

You are very antiquated in youre views imo mate. The players dont support the team they play for, why does the chairman have too?
Oh and also, you can go to a club that you didnt support but then fall in love with it, loads of people have done that before, and even some fans have admitted not starting with us as their first choice club.

Yea and I thought not letting HR have Wayne Bridge was a big turning point. Not only was it the right decision but in a way it was an example that he was not going to throw money around like before.

I'd say that any normal fella who switches what club they support would have a massive flaw in their personality.

Im struggling to think of rich billionaire qpr fans willing to risk there livelihood and money for the club they support.

Very true it is rare that a Chairmen is also a fan but that would be the ultimate scenario and produce the best Chairmen. I just dont believe Fernandes has only the clubs best interests in mind when moving us to this 40k multi purpose venue. Think him and his backers have more than one eye on what they can earn personally. 40k is too big and dont want to share our home with the 1D fans etc...but thats just me personally and i will be gutted when we leave behind Loftus Road and all the memories.

Fully understand Vblock, but all my mates down at scumhampton were feeling the same when they moved from the Dell to St.Marys, but ask them now where they would rather be and they struggle to remember the way back to the Den! Time to move on methinks.....

You are probably right mate tbh but will still be gutted. Went thier as a child, took my children their and is probably one of the most significant and special places in my life. Through the highs and the lows, tears of joy and tears of pain. Hard to lose a place like that. **** me it will be like losing a family member! :-)

                            Arsenal
                            Southampton
                            Brighton
                            Even Wembley
Have all moved to lovely new state of the art stadiums, and spurs and west ham are doing so as well. You cant stop progress or change, how many people on here swore they wouldnt get a mobile phone or couldnt see themselves ever on the internet a few years back? Life evolves, maybe too quick, but thats a fact of life.
