I've recently avoided giving my two pennies worth recently..
However it seems like we have mix views on this season, I also noticed a lot of people moaning very quickly after defeats etc.
I cant believe people are still using the 'We are yet to be challenged yet this season'.. we are nearly half way through the season now??
A few examples..
- Wigan away
- Bolton Away
- Reading Away
- Leeds Away
- Derby Home
- Brighton Home
All tough games IMO and valuable results.
All in all we have had a very very good start to the season, losing only twice (one of which we did ourselves no justice)
Ultimately by the 1st January in the season we won the league, we had 47 Points and had lost 4 times.... If we can get to this point with a similar points tally then surely we are on track for a good season?
Loftus Road is going to be key for us this season, but I cant help but feel that as Fans we all feel very nervous still. (Im one of them) We really need to start getting behind the team no matter what the score. The expectation is very high, which is rightly so with the squad we have but we also need to remember how far we have come.
1. The clear out
2. The attitude change
3. The football we are playing
Most teams will come to QPR and set up a team to get a point, some will also play like its an FA Cup final.. Either way its an even tougher season for us than other teams IMO..
This league is so hard to predict, you just cant tell really where you will lose points and when you will go on a little run.
The next four games..
Blackpool - A 3 (Need an away win - Blackpool missing one or two)
Leicester - H 3 (Must win at home, must beat the Foxes - Simple)
Nottingham Forest - A 1 (A point away from home here would be great)
Watford - A 1 (Another point here would be good)
Obviously this is going to be hard, but 8 points would be superb. 6-8 points for me would be a good amount to collect from this run of matches..
The Leicester game really will be a huge game -3 points will either mean we can catch up or push clear.
I still think the squad has a lot to give, I think come the end of the season the size and quality will really be the difference for us (Or so I hope)
The following have all been the consistent stand out players for me...
- Barton
- Austin
- O'Neil
- Dunne
- Hill
The following will be key as the season go on, AJ especially for me.
- Matty P
- Simpson
- AJ
Overall I dont see how we can complain too much, top of the league and not losing many.
Continue as we are and we will hopefully see the Hoops back in the promise land.
Come You R'ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
