I desperately want to get back to the prem as like it or not its the only place to be. We are QPR we have never been a huge club but more often then not have punched above our weight and dished out more then our fair share of ****** noses to the big guns

But what is the point of just staying in the championship and winning more games and bullying others in the division if we don't want to go up?? does that not just make us the same as Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal of the prem which some are concerned about and despise the only difference is we are the big guns in the division???

Totally get some concerns raised that the Prem has its negatives as well as the positives but surely the point of competitive football is to test yourself at the highest level possible and if you don't win enough you go down its all about finding the correct level perhaps ours is inbetween the two

I agree with Facto 100% I have no problem with being a yoyo club for two or three seasons. When we went Palace four seasons back in a six pointer knowing if we lost their was a chance we were going to get relegated to league one if someone had said then you can win this game go to the prem but be relegated two years later I would have taken their hand off.

I'd tell you where you could stick your suggestion, but I'm too much of a gentleman to be so forthright, especially on here.

Most of the views expressed here are based in the past and on recent prem experiences, and are slightly negative. If you look long term, the picture is different. We have dedicated rich owners and backers. The training ground will eventually be built (somewhere). The new stadium will be built. As far as HS2 is concerned, the money will come from somewhere, possibly China. I can't see the government letting this one go. Obviously better for us commercially that we're in the HS2 hub.

There could be extra money ploughed into the club from the stadium function events. Then we can start challenging. Why would Tony want to settle for less?

In between we wait, what's wrong with that? We get Chelsea every year and other occasional big scalps, and yes, hidings too. Sure we can get over that. I'm looking forward, not sideways or backwards.

TBH no...but, i want our club to succeed and win so i guess that means i want to go up. Just dont't look forward to higher prices, loads of changed KO times, fighting against relegation, signing some more mercenaries, loads of adverse press coverage, losing regularly.

It seems that there's a few people who, if they were the chairman, would possibly consider refusing a place in the prem because they dislike that division, or because it's short of proper fans.

I cannot recall a single club not accepting promotion to the prem
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

spot on, the both of ya. Championship is dire.

regarding the higher prices, I agree it'll most likely happen if we go up... but I'd put my faith Tony over any chairman (perhaps other than Dave Whelan at Wigan or Shad Khan at Foolham) to be reasonable with our fan base. And also don't forget, with PL comes the fact that every game will be streamed now that NBC is doing HD live broadcast of every PL fixture, so you don't have to go.

What I want is to play in the Premier League and for competitive balance to be restored there.

But for now, am I excited about the prospect of returning? No. That doesn't mean I don't want us to go up (I do want us to go up, and I'm sure those of us who have contempt for what the Premier League has become all feel the same way).
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

Calling the Championship dire is a ridiculous thing to come out with, I suppose your one of these fans who has to watch the best players in the world. I'd imagine you love the champions league as well.

With regards to 'putting your faith in Tony', I'd sooner put my faith in a 3 legged horse.
