Reading that makes me think that the club know the stewards were out of order and fans acted in defence of fellow fans as if they had CCTV and thought the fans were in the wrong why send a warning letter they would just ban them surely

Exactly what I thought, if they had CCTV images and can see what happened then your soon no as the old bill will be inside the ground sat to round people up.

I find the best way to deal with these type of situations, is to pull out my phone, turn on the video, warn the idiot that I am now recording & see what happens.

As a parent, I would never allow anyone to lay a hand on my kids; in my line of work, if a kid is playing up & causing a disturbance, I would approach the parent & advice them if they don't control their sprog, I will have no other option than to ask them to leave.

Back in the day, this problem was normally caused by plod, & I remember many a game where running battles inside & outside LR with the OB was a common occurrence - Thankfully this slowed down over time, but now seems to be replaced by the orange bib brigade.

I'm not aware of any other public event throughout the western world, where an official can actually man handle a minor & get away with it.

Surely in this age of technology, someone must of recorded some of these incidents on their mobile?

let's make saturday a "hug a friendly steward" day, have a love fest...that or just ask over into the estate after the game....i prefer police int he grounds, stewards are liars, bullies and think an over sized yellow coat makes them SAS!!!
