Yesterday it finally happened, a punch up with the stewards during the game due to the military style stewarding they feel is necessary. When a steward asks you to move 6" to your left so your in line with your seat that's one thing but when they push you and bark orders at you that another, but the robust style that they displayed in QU block yesterday was a joke and led to nasty scenes where the Rangers faithful fought back and a few of the steward mafia took a dig. When confronted at HT the supervisor went out of her way to say they can do what they want and they have been given orders, well if this is the case things are going to get very heated at the rest of the games this season.

Wasn't near that incident but did notice, for the first time, that stewards were asking to see tickets at the Ellerslie entrance before you entered the turnstile. FFS. If you haven't a ticket, you can't get through the freaking turnstile. Dumb assess. Can you imagine how these muppets in hi viz would manage in a real emergency.

I sometimes have orientation difficulties in crowded spaces and the steward standing at the op of the stairs next to my block entrance, quickly checking my ticket and pointing me in the right direction is a good thing.
