On rarely beating his man well Hoillet on current form never beats his man nor does he currently put any quality in the box. On current form if I had to choose between the two I would opt for Phillips
Guess it's all about opinions but re his pace, in your example he was against two relatively slow centre backs in Dann and Hanley when it most situations he will be against a full back (he isn't a clever enough player to play off the striker). Therefore a better example would be in the first half when on the break a ball was played into space behind their left back and in a straight race he was found wanting.

Don't disagree re Hoillett rarely beating his man, both were poor yesterday but over the season to date Hoillett has looked more threatening than Phillips, with Doncaster an example of Phillips performances where he didn't beat his full back once!

AT only had 7 minutes on the pitch, no touch of the ball for over 90 minutes, and desperately over-trying to get a cross in, so forgivable for me.

It takes 8 games to get match fit. Hoillet needs that run, which brings confidence, which is what a winger/striker needs more than anything.

Actually, despite all the uproar, I thought yesterday was a good point against a very well organised Blackburn side. Should have been out of sight by half time...
Didn't realize it took that long for fitness, that's some length of time.

He is getting on my t*ts. If he is not going to give or cannot give 100% then he should not be playing.

Lets not forget the Sjoke cross for helguson. He is a very good winger traore but again, I think that if hoilett was a bit less predictable in his movement, he would easily be the best winger in the league. Oh, and if he improved his god awful first touch

Drop hoilett, always play phillips on one wing and let aj move from just behind austin to the other wing when needed to. Really cant see how harry looks at hoilett and thinks 'triffick kad, hes deffo starting again next week'. Most frustrating wasteful do nothing ever player since adel went all diva and became shite as well.

Good idea With regards to how to use AJ. But I think, like a few others on here, that Hoilett is still struggling With his Hamstring.

I agree Hoilett has been very poor but people saying he doesn't try I think is a bit harsh. He always tracks back really well and doesn't shirk a challenge.

Some of the slack posters are willing to give Hoilet ghasts my flabber when I think of the dogs hurled at SWP

Hoilett hasn't got a left foot so will always cut inside to shoot which is easy for defenders to mark him out of the game. Would like to see what he's like on the right wing.
