  • Remy

I've noticed that most journalists are no longer mentioning Remy's apparent buy-out clause when they've written about him possibly joining Newcastle or any other club on a permanant deal. Does anyone know if Remy actually does have a buy-out clause because for some reason I seem to recall that Fernandes said he didn't have one. If this is true then surely we should be able to get around £20 million for him. He's easily been one of the best players in the Premier League so far this season. Thoughts, people?

£20mill sounds about right on current form but saying that I'd still prefer him returning to us if we go up.

The bright lights and lure of London was a big part of his decision for originally rejecting the barcodes though Facts (not to mention wages probably).

£20m is a realistic figure in my opinion. Almost into double figures 3 weeks before the turn of the year. 6-7 in 20 odd games in a struggling relegated side. He's a catch for anyone.

Personally can see Spurs going for him or the Gooners he loves a frog.

Considering how much Liverpool and West Ham spent on Andy Carroll, £20m for Remy would be daylight robbery.

I know I'm mad but I so associate him with last season that I don't really want him back.... Silly, but.... Especially because, when we go up, we'll buy several more overpaid foreigners.

Why do people keep saying £20m for Loic Remy? He's scored 8 goals in 13 matches so far. That would come out to 23 league goals this season. A 23 goal scorer in the Premier League is only worth £20m? I think NOT!

If he scores even 15 goals this season he will be worth £30m for sure - and he's more than half way there only 13 games in!

Yeah. My bad. Sorry, van. I'll stop saying that. It must have been that glut of goals today....

Buy out clause was only for the start of this season ? Now he has to spend the rest of the season at Newcastle, teams can bid for him but he can't be sold until the summer, hopefully if we're promoted he'd like to come back and play for us next season, but by then he's probably has been to the World Cup and upped his value to about £20M at least if we have to sell

You have to remember with us he was still adapting and was looking a quality player towards the end of the season. Hit the ground running with Newcastle.
