Joey is playing really well and for me is one of our best performers. However, he is making me nervous every time I watch him arguing with referee or provoking the opponents. I feel it will not be long before we see the red card coming out for him and such things will not help. Joey must avoid confrontations and leave complaints to the team captain. Hope HR and JB stress the message to him, before its too late.

To be fair, aside from last night going in at half time, I havent seen JB remonstrate any more than any other player in the league.

I Saw Joey apologise to the ref and the ref showed thumbs up at the start of the second half, so I reckon HR or some one had a word with him.

I always hold my breath when I see him going in for tackles.
Unfortunately that's just apart of his game and if he hasn't changed now, I doubt he'll ever change.
        SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

Aint we one of only two clubs who havent had a player sent of thus far this season? I wouldnt worry about joey whatsoever. Oh and he will win championship player of the season as well imho.

Quite astonishing he's not been sent off when you think how often he is blatantly targeted, whilst at the same time getting no protection from the refs.

Ah Joey's an old pro and has he ever been sent off for two yellows given for bad tackles? The two times he was sent off for us were unfair and straight reds with opposing players provoking him. Having said that I do get nervous seeing him challenge immediately after he's on a yellow. Still, if he gets his anger up it seems to go down fairly quickly. And Clint was doing a great captain's job interceding with the idiot ref on Joey's behalf last night. Wish he didn't collect so many cards, but there's a January amnesty, isn't there?

was outstanding last night, obviously being targeted by the opposition and to be fair you'd have to be a saint to take the verbals and niggling tackles he puts up with
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

I wanted him to stay all summer and he has done really well this season. The occasional flare up (so long as it is yellow not red) is just one of those things.

Only thing I would change is that sometimes he has bursts of a few minutes of wayward passing which turns the ball over. Which is a bit odd but a small price to pay imo for what he brings to the team.

Another thing worth noting that i havent seen mentioned, but joey is playing with a broken hand in plaster without impeeding his performance in any way. How many players would ever do that, some sick notes pull out of the squad for a sore throat. It must be difficult to play knowing one fall and you could do your hand in again properly. Needs respect imho.

If we had 11 players like him last season, with his will to win and attitude I doubt we'd be play Championship football this season.
