    But there is now a 10 point gap between us and the 6th and 7th placed teams, and 7 Points between us and 4th. IMO Burnley will start to flutter away (although I think they'll win on Saturday against Barnsley) and I can see them being a few points further away from the top two with there next few fixtures against Barnsley (h), Leicester (a), Blackpool (h) and Middlesbrough (a). I tend to flip the points difference into games so we already have 3 games less to play than most teams. Christmas is a busy period and its important we take at least 5 points from our next 3 games, so a win on Saturday is a must.

    I was thinking the same. Nothing taken for granted but there is no reason that we shouldn't believe that a play off place is a minimum aspiration and automatic promotion is a very real possibility and we should target nothing less now.

      I work on that theory and take nothing for granted. Secure the playoff place first as soon as possible and then fight it out for a top two spot. I still don't think we'll win the league for some reason, but pretty sure we'll end up 2nd.

        Do you know that Burnley has not won in the last 5 with 4 draws and a loss. Their last win was 2-0 against QPR.
        The strang thing is that we have only 2 points more than them.

            The points difference is down to our current away form, as we have picked up the two defeats along with the 2 points dropped at Wall. Another day we would have held out at the Den and although we weren't great on the day, if Dunne had scored when it was actually easier than to put it over, we would have another point (and Burnley 2 less). In fact, the away effort at Donny was the only time I felt we were let down by the team (even though we weren't at our best at Burnley) and I expect us to pick up points on the road, with the odd disappointing defeat all season. It will sort itself out and I believe there will be a huge gap between ours and Burnley's points at the end of the season

              18 games in is no longer early days. December will be the crucial month, tough fixtures. Get through that and remain in the top 2 and I will start to believe!

              Maybe last night was finally the night we moved into 3rd gear?!

                  I played sunday league football today.

                  Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

                  I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

                  We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                    as long as we stay in touching distance of Leicester until we play them thats all that matters to me. beat them and we should be in the driving seat. however the foxes will spend big in jan if they aren't top of the league
                    i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

                        MacKenzie = 2 yellows.
                        Broadfoot = 2 yellows.
                        Fuller = straight red.
