  • Carroll in the team = Win + clean sheet

It seems he has a good effect on the team - scoring more - defending better.
Has started 5 matches 3 of them are the only ones with wins of more than 1 goal, and some of those are the best matches the team has played this season.
    Birmingham 1-0
    Yeovil 1-0
    Middlesbrough 2-0
    Barnsley 2-0
    Bournemourh 3-0

Good post. Carroll pairs with Barton perfectly. Tom does the tidy and steady work and just lets Joey run amok and spray the ball about and in turn that gives our strikers and wingers more quality balls.

Cant argue with Stats i guess, the only thing i would say is look at the opposition in them 5 games....Pony really. Im still not convinced against a better side, playing him and joey as a 2 is enough. Too lightweight me thinks!

Yeah good player. Tidy on the ball but too light weight for me as well. Couple of times last night got dispossessed quite easily. Needs to smash into the Xmas pud next few weeks😋

We move the ball quicker with young carroll in the team much more first time balls. Yes he is a bit on the light side but we play more one touch football with him and we look less ponderous as a result.

You want to know who has the worst record
Started 8 3W-3D-2L and remember in all we have 2L and 5D
            This would be Nico Kranjcar

He is growing on me, but he does seem to get caught in posession a lot and did give quite a few hospital passes last night. He is only young and am sure this will come with experience

5 home matches of which we've win 8/9 this season

                What about away matches ?

Little statistic was just tweeted a second ago, Carroll had a 90% pass completion rate yesterday.

4 of those at home. Yeovil was away and that was the last away win.
We have gon 5 straight away matches without a win - a huge concern

And yet people on here still said he missed loads of passes and gave the ball away. Oh and i saw another statistic that joey has made the most successful passes in the division thus far.

I think its clear to see how much we missed him. Man of the match for me last night.

He played well last night. Moves the ball quickly and has a good eye for a pass. I still in my opinion think he is lightweight for a centre mid in a 4-4-2. He got knocked off the ball a couple of times quite easily but overall he did well and no reason why he should not start Saturday.

Good job hes got the hardest man in the game alongside them then eh?

While im here, i could watch aj's cross for charlies goal (which he had absolutely no right to get over) and mattys goal a hundred times and not get bored. Two bits of sublime football. Best night in ages last night, was a real buzz.
