Yes it was enjoyable. Unusual to have a cigar moment at three up instead of the usual single goal.

Agree Vesps and worth noting too the positive response it produced from the crowd. If ever there was confirmation what kind of style our fans prefer then tonight demonstrated it (compared to the muted atmosphere of the last few home games). Hopefully Harry and co took note of that.

          Agree.

I really enjoyed last night's game. Even when Bournemouth had possession I always felt confident we would win the ball back and carry on attacking.

110% better than that shower of $hit we saw last Saturday.

Exactly Lads, Football is an entertainment business, people spend a great deal of time, effort & money turning up to a live match.
It's been driving me mad watching tippy tappy stressful matches that we could have walked if we'd turned it up a gear.
Then reading people posting they are happy with that cause it's all about the 3 points (just to get back to the 'promised land' ) if that's all they care about they only need to read the result in the next days paper to satisfy their football 'fix' !

For the rest of us who enjoy exciting football more of the same please HR .........
            Only downer was I wasn't there to see it ! ! !
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

Agree with the sentiments above. Personally speaking, with a 150 mile round trip, hours in traffic etc., it's nice to watch some positive football at long last. Totally different atmosphere in the ground it seemed. Very hard for fans to keep getting behind the players when served up with the dross we have had to endure recently.

I guess i am one of the people you are refering to, as ultimately i will only enjoy the match if we win. Its great playing this way against a weakend Bournemouth side, but better teams would cut right through us if we played that open.

I'd take points over performance all day long.

How strange can statistic be with only 11 sjots at goal while Bournemouth playing 5 in midfield managed 16 shots.
Usually the has about 60% of possession but last night it was only 49% which is the lowest for the season.

The formation does leave us more exposed in the middle but it also makes it harder for the opposition to defend against up top.

The best thing for me is that we now know we can adapt our formation and therefore our attacking stance to suit the game we want to play.

What I don't get is we scored 3 goals and played a higher tempo, the crowd were entertained and happy - but on 90 minutes (with 3 mins added) literally half the people in the ground upped and left - the final whistle brought muted applause due to the mass exodus whereas I would have thought it was the perfect opportunity to cheer them 'till the end.
Surely it was necessary for around 8,000 people to get away sharp to catch the bus?

                          Yep, dross.

Not in the slightest bit interested in posession stats. Spurs had much higher posession than Man City the other week and lost 6-0. 3 points from our last 5 away games isn't really much to get excited about, is it?

The simple facts of the matter are that if we aren't creating real opportunities, we won't score enough goals, putting more pressure on midfield and defence as one mistake is always likely to result in us not getting all the points. Playing with attacking options, even if they don't always result in plenty of goals, gives the opposition plenty to think about rather than allow them to play their own game.

I would have thought that having some of the best players in the division, the strongest squad in terms of quality and depth, would allow a manager to be a little more adventurous. Pleased to say he was last night, hence a vastly improved performance. Long may it continue.
