Charlton fans

Just had a nose at one of their sites ,and as well as moaning at their appalling excuse for a football team ,they were saying how lifeless our support was and how their away support was excellent .
I thought our support yesterday was ok for us ,but they were silent .Certainly from the Upper Loft i didnt hear them at all ,they brought nothing to enhance the atmosphere and seemed to have given up ( like their team ,before a ball was kicked ) .Charlton are a two bob club these days.

Every time I have been to Charlton, about four times now going back to the early 80's, I have not heard a peep from them.

Do you remember a night match at Selhurst Park possibly the Milk cup , when the floodlights went off for about 10minutes and everyone started lobbing coins, lighters etc over the fence in the holmesdale end at the Charlton fans ? I got a 50p right in the forehead that game ,happy days............

I normally sit in pu or r block and our support always seems ok from there but I have ventured over to sa road and have to say it doesn't sound half as impressive so god knows what it sounds like from the away end . Same applies the other way around , rarely hear away fans from the loft but from x block they sound very loud . No where near the atmosphere of the holloway days and having the lower loft as a family stand definatly contributes towards that . We've got pockets of singers where as at most clubs they clump together more

Ain't had much with them save for some long distance fighting over the railway lines years ago. But I do like where they come from politically.

Yeah Gary Bushell and Jim Davidson .two people renowned for their political sense .............
