Teams are coming to LR and quite understandably not trying to take us on but sitting back and hoping to hit us on the break. Oldhoop put up a stat that said we had 21 shots 7 on target, so surely the problem isn't the chances but taking them.

I doubt if an automatic spot has ever been decided on goal difference, I may be proved wrong.

        There's always a first.

I'll happily take the 1-0 wins though. Obviously the result and the 3 points are the priority. It only takes 1 point (a draw) to go above the team with the higher goal difference. So we have to be smart and make sure we get those wins any way we can. If we have to have a five man midfield to achieve the solidity so be it.

Derby, Watford and Ipswich have scored shitloads so may be we should swap our position with one of them.

            A very fair point.

Interesting, but we need to improve our goal difference by scoring more goals as this goal difference may cost us promotion at the end of the season.

Playing two up front from the very start of a match might help in the scoring goals law of averages!

All depends on how you look at it (stating the *****ing obvious)
4 games ago we were 5 points behind Burnley. Today we are level on points with them. If the relative forms continue the trajectory is again obvious; we will be 5 points ahead of them after another 4 games. Do I believe that ? No. It's still far too early in the season to say who will be in the mix at that end.

Harry saying he prefers playing 5 in midfield because in this league it's vital to keep control of the midfield and avoid getting overrun. The fitter Niko gets, with SWP coming back to form and with Phillips now finding his feet, it's law of averages that Charlie will be receiving an improved supply-line as we head into the 2nd third of the season.
