Suppose it doesn't matter if we win, but that was like watching paint dry!

Would it be better if we played like Brazil and lost? Bit like Newcastle under Keegan, ended up with nothing. Wins means points and confidence, football isn't always pretty.

And we were top of the league (joint) and won all but one of our home games then had we ? TV played a very similar game in 82/83 and we won the league by 10 points............really dont see how we criticise a team who are top of the league and have conceded only 2 goals at home, as we enter December.....beggars belief to me !

I'm sorry. It I didn't see it like that at all
We played it about (Albeit not always penetratingly) ... We never looked under any pressure
Their keeper made some very decent saves... Green hardly touched the ball

That thought of watching paint dry crossed my mind more than once during the match and the phrase itself was mentioned by those around me.We were playing at home to a struggling side, yet like several times in the recent past we appear to be content in holding on to a fragile 1-0 lead and this insistence on passing it around in our own half (almost showboating),instead of getting the ball forward is doing my head in.we've only played one top team so far in Burnley, who beat us.This square dance style of football is going to be found out soon against more decent sides like Leicester, which could be our undoing. How often do you see us lose possession in these circumstances.Mark my words,we're going come unstuck some time soon. Please Harry, bring AJ sooner,he changes the game.

Well, just be grateful that you're not a Palace fan who's about to witness their side being turned into a rugby team. Hooooooof.

.....You are correct, it doesn't matter at all.......so why point it out?

You may find you are saying that all season. Another one nil win and we continue the consistency we've shown all season. We might 'come unstuck' a few times but I haven't seen anything to be scared of yet.

Think you're right Captain Jack,we'll have a lot more 1-0 knife edge wins before the season's out,it's just that my nerves are in tatters at the end of virtually every game and it would be nice occasionally to have a three goal lead towards the end of a game so we came savour the moment and relax.

It stops the opposition from scoring and correct me if I'm wrong but nearly every time we played the ball forward in the final third we gave it away? Keep ball for 90 mins with one breakaway goal suits me (and by the sounds of it Harry, Bond etc etc)

Oh dear! We have played 7 of the top 12, are one point better off than at this time in our championship winning season, have lost one game all year and have a fairly long injury list and fans moan. Only at QPR!!!!!!

You're not wrong but this style of play is not good for my health.Perhaps I should learn to chill out,but as Bill Shankley once famously said,"football is not a matter of life or death - it's more important than that".
