I'd steer well clear personally. He had his chance and passed up on the opportunity. Nowhere near as good as people think either, hence not starting regularly for a long time now. About time we signed players when it suits us, not just to help them out of a situation of their own making.

For a newly promoted club id have defoe everyday of the week. Got to be realistic what strikers are really going to be available, I bet defoe is the better of them all. Ok hes 31 but still very dangerous and imo a very good price.SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!
