  • I thaught Simpson was good

Good hold up play and overall play. Just lacked a bit of confidence.

The ball just didnt drop today

Agreed. Holds it up well, and got in front of his marker several times to receive the ball when he wasn't favorite to get there.

Unfortuntley people dont watch what happens off the ball so they come the the conclusion he's 'crap'.

i think he looked half decent

one thing baffled me with the strikers today. we were putting in lots of crosses but no one getting on the end of them. so why oh why would you leave the tallest and best in the air on the bench and bring on a midfielder. pellicori scored a few in pre season and in reserves (i know not the highest standard of football) so why wouldn't you give him a chance

Well, I did say that the lad has no idea what pressure is on him to score all the goals.... I feel sorry for him, we should had sorted this problem out in the summer, yet blackstock scores again for forest.

Simpson is not the answer to our problems... we need a goal scorer simple!

Crosses - are you having a laugh? did you go to the game? I dont recall us getting many crosses in open play at all...... maybe i am suffering from memory loss?

His overall play was very good, as is Helgusons. Both players are excellent at holder the ball up and getting other players into play. But, what we really need is someone that can put the ball into the back of the net, something that Helguson has problems doing, and after two matches it seems that Simpson has the same problem. We need a finisher. Send Simpson back and go for someone else in my opinion..

                  hogan put in a few

we had about 7 corners (i know not open play)

then when buzacky came on he put in a few.

if i remember borrowdale put a few in

very hard to score when none of them are very tall

i was surprised , i was thinking he would be a fast, nippy, skillful , direct player who will be our finisher.

Instead i thought i was watching Devon White again , hes a poor mans Heskey.

Great satire - he looked good. Ha! Ha! That's a cracker. But be careful posting things like that - people might think you were actually serious...

He has miss at least 3/4 gilt edged chances in two games...we have players who can do that already.
                            They seek him here.................

Put himself about a lot, held the ball up very well.

It's only been two games guys.. let's at least give him a few more to see how he does!
